And now... onto the interview:

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: LXW is a groundbreaking promotion that is trying to bring wrestling from Mexico into the United States. For fans in America that watch CMLL or AAA on TV, will LXW be anything like that? What similarities will LXW have with other Mexican promotions and what differences will they have?

SLASH: There will be some similarities such as talent, rules, and look. But it will have diferences such as the "Suicidal Title" and a more americanized overall feel (at first) but will slowly incorporate the standards/traditions of Lucha Libre as we go along so that the fans here in the states who are not totally famillar with Lucha Libre will have a step process of learning instead of a crash coarse.

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: How come in 6 man matches, there are two referees? Where did that come from, and why is it done?

SLASH:In mexican wrestling in order to help control the action traditionally there has been 2 referees. This was actually ordered by the comissioner of boxing and wrestling in mexico years ago. Since then it has become traditional and a integral part of a lucha libre show.

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: How come most 6 man matches are contested in a 3 round system?

SLASH:The 3 fall system was actually a mainstay in all professional wrestling dating back to the 1920's,and since then the majority of Lucha Libre contests are held under the 3 fall system. It has been thought that under the 3 fall system a true winner can be determined.

WSean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: hat is the meaning of the mask and how did the mask tradition begin?

SLASH:This Question, can be answered on a variety of levels, some tradition's vow "the mask" was actually brought by a American wrestler in the 1930's. While other wrestlers and historions claim the mask represents the aztec, mayan and native mexican cultures use of mask as warrior symbols. Either way the mask has become symbolic with the art form known as Lucha Libre.

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: Adding to the last question, how come some Mexican wrestlers have masks when other don't?

SLASH:While some wrestlers lose thier masks in Mascara contra mascara matches(mask vs. mask) other simply decide not to wear them. While wearing a mask is now considered traditional in mexcio. Overtime tradition changes and young mexican wrestler's now have many avenues to chose from as far as style and gear.

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: For people not familiar with Mexican wrestling, what does the Mexican style of wrestling have that the American style doesn't have?

SLASH:The Style of Mexican Wrestling Known as Lucha Libre has been considered more acrobatic and more beautiful of all the wrestling styles. The colorful costuming, highflying manuvers and built in drama, has captured the imagination of wrestling fans throughout the world. While the ameircan style has been described as "punch, kick, grunt" the Mexican style has a class all its own. So unique its been refered to as an artform.

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: It's hard to follow Mexican wrestling, because it's not in English. Will LXW wrestlers cut promos in English, and will the DVDs and tapes be in English as well? Likewise, for Mexican wrestling fans living in US, will DVDs and tapes be released in Spanish?

SLASH:Depending on who is cutting the promo it will either be in english or spanish, but if it is in spanish there will be english subtitles and vice versa. And as for the dvd/home video's our current anounce team made up of "KRIS KLOSS & LARRY RIVERA" are calling it all in english, but you will have the option on upcoming releases to either have it in english or spanish with a seperate team.

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: What other rules in lucha libre differ from traditional Mexican wrestling?

SLASH:Let's see, in tag team matches if your partner leaves the ring, there is no need to tag, you can simply enter. From state to state in mexico certain manuvers are considered illegal such as the piledriver, and michinoku driver. There are many differences varying from region to region. And until we have a commish to determain/judge what moves should or shouldnt be allowed, anything goes!!!!!!

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: What can I expect on November 15th?

SLASH:What you can definatly expect on this Saturday November 15th show is the most high flying, death defying,Xtreme Lucha Libre action this side of Mexico as well as the most entertaining and familly oriented wrestling show that is out there today!

Sean "LoS MiC" McCaffrey: Thank you for explaining LXW to everyone.

SLASH: Thank you.
