Hey everyone and welcome to another McInterview. This time I chatted with Rob Eckos. Rob Eckos is dominating the indies and is in many promotions right now. He is currently the SSCW World Heavyweight Champion, and a regular in Jim Kettner’s ECWA. In this interview he speaks on numerous promotions, his career, his injury and more. I hope you enjoy it as I did.

The MiC: How did you get your start in the business? How was training like? Was it anything like we see on Tough Enough?
Rob Eckos: I got my start in the business by going to a wrestling school in north jersey, the training was usual training and I never watch tough enough so I don't really know...

The MiC: What wrestlers were you a fan of growing up? What wrestlers couldn't you stand growing up?
Rob Eckos: I guess I was a fan of like the ultimate warrior and sting when I was a little kid growing up...

The MiC: What do you think your best match of your career has been so far?
Rob Eckos: hmm, really hard to say I have had so many I love it’s hard to narrow it down...

The MiC: What promotions do you enjoy working for? What promotions do you think are lacking that you have worked for?
Rob Eckos: well, I love working for the ECWA in Delaware that is def. my favorite. 3PW is another promotion I really love to work for that is ran very professionally...none really that I hate...

The MiC: You currently are working for Jasmin St Clair's 3PW promotion. What is that like? How does it feel to be involved in the Philly Wars? Do you think that working with 3PW hurts your chances of working for CZW or XPW?
Rob Eckos: working for 3PW is very cool, I really have no plans on going anywhere near XPW and CZW is always an option, but right now it just isn't for me...in my opinion the Philly wars are over...

The MiC: You are in what many people consider the top promotion in the indies, with the ECWA. Do you feel that ECWA is the top promotion? How is your time there so far?
Rob Eckos: my time there is great and yes in my opinion it is def. the best indy promotion out there as it is so organized and well ran it just soars above the rest...

The MiC: Who came up with the fuzzy dice gimmick?
Rob Eckos: no clue...

The MiC: In ECWA, we saw a series of vignettes with you, Billy Bax and Carlton P Hightower. You seemed like a natural in front of the camera in those vignettes. How did you feel in the vignettes?
Rob Eckos: its cool, just doing what I gotta....

The MiC: You are currently the SSCW World Heavyweight champion. How does it feel to be the top dog of a promotion?
Rob Eckos: again I guess its cool, but I don’t really consider myself the top dog, its just another place I wrestle at...

The MiC: What wrestlers are you a fan of currently in the WWE? TNA? The indies?
Rob Eckos: there are so many great guys and girls out there it is really hard to say just a few...

The MiC: You have been out with an injury, yet have worked/appeared at every show that you were booked for. Do you feel that indy wrestlers work harder hurt then WWE guys do?
Rob Eckos: well I haven’t been to every show I was booked for, but most of them and I believe all wrestlers work the same and that is extremely hard...

The MiC: Have there been any talks between you and ROH? NWA TNA?
Rob Eckos: nothing really with ROH and I'm going up to TNA for a dark match 5/21...right now I’m so busy I just kinda take it one day at a time...

The MiC: What is your career goal?
Rob Eckos: to go as far as I can...

The MiC: What would be your dream match? (Include stipulations if necessary)
Rob Eckos: ahh, again can’t say cause I would love to wrestle many guys to test myself...

The MiC: Where did the Rob Eckos character come from? Are you like your character in real life?
Rob Eckos: basically it’s just an extension of me, relaxed and shit, a little cocky, u know the deal...

The MiC: What's a typical day in the life of Rob Eckos like?
Rob Eckos: I go to college in the mornings, hit the gym for a few hours, go tanning, do some other shit like chill with my friends or something and then sleep with alot of eating in between...
