What up everyone in DOI land and welcome to another McInterview. This time I caught up with Pinkie Sanchez of AWA fame. Hopefully, this will be the first of many AWA interviews. Pinkie is a former AWA Light Heavy Weight Champion. Pinkie in this interview was totally uncensored on many subjects, so I have opted not to edit anything he wrote nor spell check his slang or venacular. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: How did you get into the pro wrestling business?
Pinkie Sanchez: I started as any worker does as a fan and the 1st fed that caught my eye was JAPW. I met alot of cool people there they opened there school, and i started training but i wasnt mentally or financially ready to start really turning this sport into my whole life. I attended a local show in jersey city and I met a danny demanto....me an him talked a lil and he snatched me up, we went to Long Island to the USA pro training center were i met alot of cool people an they welcomed me to the buisness....fast foward to september i enrolled in the AWA trainin center... the rest is history.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What wrestlers were you a fan of growing up? Which wrestlers did you not care for?
Pinkie Sanchez: I was a big fan of Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, HBK, Bret Hart, Taz, Eddie Guerrero, Jushin Lyger, The Great Muta, Masa Chono, and too many to name since ive been goin to indy's starting in 99' ive been really impressed with Reckless Youth, Quackenbush, Dirty Don Montoya, Mafia, Homicide, Low-ki, Christopher Daniels, an many others to much to type....i watch alot of indys on tape just to learn as much as I can!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Currently, you are one of the top faces in AWA. What does that feel like to have a loyal fan base, that you call the PinkHeads?
Pinkie Sanchez: Its awesome i loved it!!! They still email me an IM me when they can, but i dont know if it will ever be the same. Special shout-out to my Pinkheads!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You weren't wrestling at the last AWA show, and were sitting in the crowd. What is your current status with AWA?
Pinkie Sanchez: I'm a student at AWA wrestling school. So I will support there shows even if there isnt room for me on the shows.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What is your current relationship with AWA owner Mike Morgan?
Pinkie Sanchez: Mike is the head trainer in AWA and im a student. I have the upmost respect for him and his school. I would love to work the shows but he could only put on oh so many people.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What is it like being in the AWA?
Pinkie Sanchez: Its awesome were a big family....its a fun especially durin show time when everyone helpin out.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on The Mambo King and TMPW?
Pinkie Sanchez: Fuck mambo king and fuck his backyarder ass kids that mutha fukka is the fukkin shitz.....it shames me to know he did shows in the AWA gym. Mambo then like a lil bitch cried to the fire marshall that our building was unsafe an that were a fire hazard......mambo tried to fuk up sumthin that people take extremley seriously....wat we need is to have the fukkin police go down to his house an make sure that mattress that pedophile wrestles on with lil boys doesn't have seman stains on it! all his workers are fukkin jokes, or bums off the street, or fukkin junkies, hes the biggest fukkin joke an i'd spit in his mutha fukkin face if he ever approached me with some dumb shit....that loser pops so much shit about me and other fed's first off, fix ur fed before you get on other dudes feds...your mom and wifey dont count as fans so this whole five peple attendence record dont count.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have recently branched out in your wrestling career and have worked for JCW and UWA. How did you get into those promotions?
Pinkie Sanchez: I called Ricky O on my way back from a CT show. Ricky gave me a spot on his shows, so im thankful for Ricky Hookin it up.. I also want to thank Danny DeManto and Damian Dragon for putting in the good word at JCW. As For UWA...the AWA used to be the UWA so i was asked to come down an do my thing.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your favorite feds to work for? What feds don't you like?
Pinkie Sanchez: My favorite fed to work for is AWA cuz all my familia is there...these are my brothers we look out for one another so its all love. But honestly I like working any fed that wants to give me a chance. I live and breath wrestling!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What people in wrestling would you like to slap in the face?
Pinkie Sanchez: I already slapped that person down already, but some guy called the Mic is inching close to an ass whuppin...oh yea an mambo queen he needs a slap in his stink fukkin mouth!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Is it true that deep down you're a Dirty Rotten Scoundrel fan?
Pinkie Sanchez: wat proof do you have that gives you the impression that im a Scoundrel fan...listen that ec blanco an sponge-bob square blade can scream and aaaaaaaah! all they want cuz EC has long smelly hair and a cental park bum's facial hair and blade has D.S.Lips so u tell me wat ima fan of....JACK!!!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What is the shadiest shit you've ever seen in wrestling?
Pinkie Sanchez: Someone took a shit in the AWA gym but in the toilet...fortunetley they didnt flush!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on Layla Herrera, your former manager in AWA?
Pinkie Sanchez: She wants it, but needs to keep her mouth shut and learn...she's a tough girl, but she needs to learn in this buisness ur gonna have to do alot of things your not gonna want to do! she needs to take a chill pill an stop being so damn stuck up! other then that time will tell wether she will make it. she's like my sister so only im allowed to yell at her.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have worked for ABC Wrestling. What was it like working for a promoter who beats up fans after the show?
Pinkie Sanchez: I'll tell ya wat i was so scared for that poor kids life...but he shoulda did wat he promised....man up beeeetch!!! Jimmy is the Sprewell of the indy's baby!

Mike Morgan- Pinkie Sanchez: I think the shows speak for themselves on who will make it or who wouldnt....if u asked me last year would i be wrestling i woulda laughed and said i wish.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What promotions would you like to work for that you haven't worked for yet?
Pinkie Sanchez: the first indy fed i ever attended JAPW....after that talk to me again!!!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: If you could wrestle anybody past or present who would it be?
Pinkie Sanchez: I would work my favorite worker's ever Eddie Guererro and The Great Muta!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What wrestlers today have influenced your career?
Pinkie Sanchez: Dixie and Insane Dragon(Youth Gone Wild) i saw them years ago an they were both a buck twenty an they were givin it to maff and monsta...it made me believe lil dudes like me will be ok!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What really happened between Ron Price and Kevin Matthews?
Pinkie Sanchez: there was an altercation because Ron was applyin a move to tight....i guess Kev didnt have any patience that day things got heated an out of no were there was gunfire an exslposions...wen the dust settled....morgan asked kev to leave an andrew to stay in the bathroom.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What does the future hold for Pinkie Sanchez?
Pinkie Sanchez: you know theres an old AC/DC song, i don remember the song's name but in the song it's says "Its a long way to the top if you wanna rock'n'roll" an thats wat im doin doin my damn thing an puttin it all on the line to make sure i get to the top.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you want to say to anyone reading this?
