Frank Goodman

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Frank the last time we did an interview was a little under a year ago. Since then, the Elks Lodge has been taken away from USA Pro, you opened up a USA Pro Hotline, you are in the process of changing residences and you're set for USA Pro to make their debut in Club Amazura. Besides all that, what is going on in your life right now?

Frank Goodman: How about saying hello Sean?............Anyway I've been real busy...a week before the Feb 14th show my weight dropped from 265 to 240 and when I went to the doc he said my kidneys were dehydrated for the second time (I forget for days at a time to drink water) so I had to get my health back to normal and since I get up at am to train richer people then me and have to be home by 7 to take care of my 2 big boys it was hard but as of April 1st I was over 270 and now I'm in Australia a few days after my second pathetic attempt at a shoot fight I am staying away from the gym for the next 2 weeks and expect to be in NY the 1st week of May weighing in at a healthy 260....other then that I've been trying to find new venues and working on the May 14th and June 19th shows and fine tuning my FAKE POSTING skills with the help of you Sean.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Since we have done numerous interviews in the past about your history, let's talk about other things. What are your opinions on the rebirth of ICW? What are your feelings on Jac Sabboth, and what did you think about the recent Jac Sabboth interview on the DOI site?

Frank Goodman: (First let me say that Jac and I are close friends but friends are friends and business is business and I am in business to make money!) Well of course I knew of the rebirth of ICW since I am the behind the scenes silent Promoter behind ICW but ICW is Jac's baby and I leave him to run it as he sees fit and I don’t interfere other then when the business end of it gets screwy...My hopes every time Jac comes to me with another ICW plan is that we can turn this into a great USA Pro vs. ICW feud but Jac bails every time for some reason of another whether the reason is good or bad...Jac sees stars before they become stars but as a businessman Jac is Cliff Barnes and in J.R. Ewing!

I was upset with ALL the DOI Sabboth interviews because they are not completely true and if you are going to open yourself up by doing an interview then you be straight on EVERYTHING or as truthful as you can be without sending yourself to the Pokie!........Jac made statements that he never STIFFED anyone on pay which I feel is correct but the facts are that Jac has paid his wrestlers when it was convenient for Jac and Jac feels that Bouncing hundreds of checks is fine as long as they eventually get paid!....I will tell you that Jac has borrowed from me more money then I would ever lend anyone but if I didn't trust Jac I never would have done that and he has paid me back every dime when he was supposed to but it doesn't excuse the fact that he was not truthful in that interview.....!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Recently, you had a little run-in with Steve Corino. Can you explain the circumstances that led to it, and what is your current status with Steve Corino today?

Frank Goodman: Steve Corino and I have always had an excellent relationship.... and in Nov - Feb 8th I was in Orlando buying my new 5 bedroom 3 bathroom Townhouse and in mid Jac I received a call from John Curse of NYWC who I have always had a good honest relationship with and while we were speaking John mentioned what I thought of the World 1 show at Deer Park and I told John I didn't know of the show and didn't care and he felt the same...not 10 minutes later I got a call from 2 New Jersey promoters who asked me the same questions as John Curse did as far as my feelings toward World 1 in NY and I asked them why they cared and they said it was because of someone Corino was doing business with who screwed them( its not my business to give out this promoters name)...and they were going to do everything they could to stop the show........the next week I got an e-mail from Steve Corino expressing his thanks to me for not making any trouble for his show and I again expressed that I wouldn't make trouble because I didn't care......a few days later I got another e-mail from Corino telling me he heard that I and Mikey Whipwreck were trying to stop his show and to please stop and I e-mailed Corino back that it was untrue and that Mikey Whipwreck and I didn't even have 1 conversation regarding World 1 or him.........I even left Corino a phone message telling him firmly that I wasn't a part of any action regarding his show.

A few weeks before his Feb 7th show I plugged his show daily on my hotline and got a call from someone I don’t remember who telling me to stop and that the World 1 show was cancelled due to me making complaints to the NYSAC I asked were that came from and he told me Corino....I then called Corino and got no return call and called at the time Corino's girl Veronica who verified to me that Steve had in fact been told it was me....I called Mike Johnson who ran the Corino vs. Goodman story and asked Mike to call the NYSAC and speak to the head of Legal Hugo....Mike did and they informed Mike Johnson that NOBODY called to complain about the World 1 show and that the funny thing was that NO PROMOTER EVER FILED THE SHOW WITH THE NYSAC so I was getting blamed for canceling a show that was never legally set to take place!....Now this is not Steve Corino's fault nor is it the fault of NYWC or the fault of Frank Goodman or the fault of John Curse it is the fault of the promoter running the event and that’s who told Steve Corino that it was me who put the kabosh on his show when in fact there was never a show to kabosh in the 1st place........and in MY OPINION I think after the NY promoter agreed to do the show he changed his mind...but that’s my opinion.

I will tell you this and again it has nothing to do with Curse or NYWC but I have run 6-8 shows at the Deer Park Community Center and have been a model renter and I have had 700 paid fans 4 times there and 600 2 other times in a building that seats 400-500 max and I have offered the building 4x the normal rent to allow us to come back and even though there are rumors of the Center needing money or they will close down I am rebuffed and told that because Balls Mahoney used thumbtacks in 1 match that I am not welcome back.....and I will tell you this they were harmless thumbtacks.........at one show I even paid out close to $700 in damages for some broken chairs without ever seeing a receipt so I know who did what and when.

Back to Corino and I we are back on good terms.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Speaking of Steve Corino, his World 1 group runs head to head with USA Pro on May 14th. Several USA Pro wrestlers have decided to go to World 1 over USA Pro, despite being booked for USA Pro first. What are your opinions on the wrestlers who decided to leave USA Pro for World 1 that day?

Frank Goodman: Yeah World 1 and I are both running May 14th.... I separate states and I will have around 1,000 fans and they will I'm sure do well also and if I do 3,000 and Corino does 20,000 it doesn't affect either one of us.

Low-Ki- I have always liked Low-Ki and gotten along with him as a promoter I don’t like booking him and then losing him but EVERY TIME I have booked him he has made it clear that if Japan or World 1 calls he would have to cancel on me so as I said I don’t like it but I knew and know what I risk by booking Low-Ki and his work makes it worth it...He has said things about USA Pro that I found insulting but I don’t think he realized it came out that way and I never thought it important enough to mention to him.....But I will say that at the now defunct USA Pro Training Center he showed up a few times and trained wrestlers for free and did a few charity shows for USA pro.

C.M. Punk- I don’t know him well enough to comment...he was also upfront about World 1.

Matt Striker- I am not in anyway happy Matt chose to go to World 1 but I understand why he did it.... Matt hopes to go to Japan and working with Steve Corino gives him that chance and I cannot pretend to have that power...Matt will always be a friend and his work has been getting better each and every show but what irks me is that he asks for pushes and I give him the pushes and things like this happen.

The Solution-2 Good guys who are hoping that Corino can give then a Japan chance.... Papadon gave me a month’s notice so really how mad can I be at any of them.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What is with all the Russians in Forest Hills?

Frank Goodman: I grew up in Forest Hills and the dirty Ruskies ran me out...I get on a fucking elevator and there's 30 plus spitballs on the floor and its all because of these dirty Ruskies...they rent out a studio apt for 15 of them and the men all wear a business suit jacket with a hat 2 sizes to small with sweat pants and sandals!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Recently, Carmine Sabia Jr., of SSCW, has talked some smack on Frank Goodman and USA Pro. What are your feelings on Carmine Sabia? Why do you think Carmine feels the need to bash Frank Goodman to people such as Dana Dameson? What are your thoughts on Carmines relationship with Dana Dameson?

Frank Goodman: At first when I met Carmine..(Oh wait we never met because he doesn't leave his house!!).... When we first started talking I liked him and found him sincere.... he told me he picked fights with me and others to get heat and publicity...I even booked him D'lo Brown for half price and Bam Bam Bigelow for more then half price and asked for nothing in return...but lately he has been using me as his new bashing tool and I don’t take shit I give it out and he started something with me that even locked in his mommy’s house he wont win.

Hestarts by telling people who work for both of us not to listen or do the angles I give them and he even tells Dana Dameson who is used before anyone that I am using her and making her character look dumb......and the fact is he's right because a promoters job is to promote and I made her into someone that is talked about even though she has no training or experience.......but what this idiotic imbecile doesn't know is that EVERYONE he speaks to online send ME..ME..ME... the e-mails and IM conversations he has with them where he bashes me and has bashed me and the funny thing about this is that this moron Carmine doesn't realize that HIS FRIENDS who he trusts are sending me these e-mails...I even got 1 today from a Jersey wrestler I never met or spoke to...Carmine tells Dana Dameson that she should listen to him because he has been around the business and is respected...That’s a bigger joke then Jac Sabboth never bouncing a check!!...Carmine HAS NEVER been around the wrestling business and has never even been to his own show so what experience does he have?

Carmine should just be a man and tell Dana to lift her skirt up and bend over and go home afterwards because that’s all he wants from her...I got an e-mail today from someone who Carmine said I was mad at him because I wanted him to use Kamala on May 15th and he declined....
HE NEVER DECLINED AND THAT’S THE PROBLEM AND IF IM LYING I DARE ANYONE TO ASK SIMON DIAMOND THE SSCW BOOKER IF CARMINE DIDN'T BOOK KAMALA AND THEN 2 WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT KAMALA'S AIRLINE TICKET HE BACKED OUT SAYING HE LOST HIS ITALIAN AMERICAN HALL...BULLSHIT SINCE HIS NEXT SHOW IS IN THAT VERY BUILDING!

So I’m done with Carmine and his lying games and I hope that all the wrestlers remember when they do business with Carmine that he is a MARK and its everyone’s job to take what you can from a MARK before they are run out of this business.

On a side note Carmine you always tell people they should fear you because you have power and some powerful friends in this business well...IM WAITING! RUN ME OUT YOU PHOBIA FUCKING MARK...PHOBIA'S ARE FOR SICK PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THERE OWN LIVES!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Out of all the promoters you have known in the years, which promoters did you feel had no business being in the wrestling business?

Frank Goodman: Wow really tough question.... see Jac Sabboth has put on some really great shows...so I would never say Jac.

There is Carmine of course since he has to pay someone to run his shows for him

.A guy I did business with 4 or 5 years back in upstate NY named Pete something he booked 6 shows with me as sold shows and cancelled 5 of the 6 and number 6 was horrible...and Barry Geiger who was an inspector for the NYSAC who ran shows for awhile.

The problem there is that they had 1,000 seat houses all the time but they falsely advertised talent many times and ruined the current state of NY wrestling........!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your feelings on the current state of Indy wrestling today?

Frank Goodman: As the basically only game in town in NY I’m happy with the current state of indy wrestling but on a whole it's terrible...NY was burnt out by Geiger who burnt out buildings and Tommy Dee who was Jac Sabboth way before Jac knew what wrestling was.

When they deregulated NJ east coast Indy wrestling was doomed...I left running shows in NJ shortly after that Dennis Corrluzzo past away and Dennis ran excellent shows.... Cousin Luke got sick and couldn't do it anymore and the biggest killer has been the WWE buying out WCW and the folding of ECW...You see when all 3 groups were in existence the WWE would have a yearly housecleaning and the 5 or 6 superstars would lose their jobs and come to the indies and work for the standard big name price of $500 and then there is no competition and all these mediocre WWE/WCW wrestlers looking for their same $1,500-$2,000 paydays and most of these mediocre wrestlers were never indy wrestlers starting out so they don’t believe that guys like them should be getting $250-$300......

So now we have NWA/TNA wrestlers who are asking what the Superflys...the Bigelows and the Ravens are getting and a promoter cant put on a quality show without either having 1,000 fans or having sponsors...thank god we have both.....!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What NJ promotions do you think are the strongest?

Frank Goodman: The strongest NJ promotions are #1 JAPW. (I can’t understand why they don’t draw 800 plus?).... #2 JCW...(Ricky O just needs to rebuild his rep).... NWS. (Nobody knows them but they draw large crowds and that’s the name of the game.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What NJ promotions do you think are the weakest?

Frank Goodman: The weakest are #1 SSCW.... (Unfixable)...I don’t know any others?

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on Rob Feinstein and the whole ROH situation with TNA?

Frank Goodman: Rob Feinstein is a lowlife piece of shit Queer and being a Queer isn’t what makes him bad its how he couldn't control his sick perverted actions. As far as the NWA/TNA vs. ROH deal.... I understand TNA's points and ROH's points but it doesn't affect me so I’ll stay back until one of the two drags me into something!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Is Eric Simms really Bud Abbott?

Frank Goodman: Ask Eric Simms in-between his wiping the Iron Sheiks ass he might give you an answer!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Back in 1999, you had a business arrangement with Vince Russo. What were the details of that and what exactly happened?

Frank Goodman: Here I will give you the whole Vince Russo/Frank Goodman story.... When Russo was nearing his end as head of WCW he was looking to use some legends for a Nitro where 3 legends would wrestle Jeff Jarrett and Blackjack Brown gave Russo my number and asked me who he should use and who would be reliable...he mentioned Superfly Snuka but told me Jimmy didn't return his call so I was at the time booking Jimmy so I called Jimmy set a price and then set another price to do the cage match...I then called the Honkytonk Man but that didn't work out...then I called Tito Santana and since Tito was asking for more then Russo and I discussed I then had Russo call him direct and they finalized the deal and it was the highest rated Russo Nitro to date......Then a few days later Vince Russo called me again and asked if I had any other ideas for a Buffalo Nitro taking place in 2 days I told him since Zybysco( sorry for the poor grammar) was wrestling again what about Bruno Sammartino vs. Larry Zybysco(I’ll never learn to spell his name)

..Russo thought it was a great idea I then called Bruno Sammartino and he was all for it as long as WCW paid him well.... I told Russo who told me he would call Sammartino right away and for me to see if I could get Sammartino medical clearance for a NY show since I was a Licensed promoter in NY...The Commission said they would give Sammartino a physical and we never heard from Russo again until the morning of the Nitro when he called me to tell me that WCW had heat with Sammartino for testifying in a trial against WCW which Sammartino didn't do...and I never heard from him again and no thanks for me busting my ass in trying to help him out......And this story is 100 true and Bruno Sammartino and I know the truth!
