Mack Daddy Flexxx Interview

What's up everyone and welcome to another DOI interview. This time I sat down with Mack Daddy Flexxx. Flexxx, who is a product of Johnny Rodz, has recently started making waves in smaller indy companies, such as ABC, VPW & JRW, as he starts his climb to the top. In the following interview, Flexxx talks his career, Rodz, funny stories, Rocksha, WUW & much more. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Hey Flexxx, and welcome to your first DOI interview. For the fans & promoters reading this, who might not necessarily know you, how did you get into the pro wrestling business? What was your training like?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: I was a tremendous wrestling fan since i could remember and wrestling was something i always knew i would get into. i found out about a wrestling school in brooklyn at gleasons gym and saved up enough cash to at least get started. training was very difficult because johnny is a perfectionist and he demands alot out of his students.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: When you first broke into wrestling under Johnny Rodz, who were your early influences? What other wrestlers took interest in you and tried helping you out?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :at gleasons u sort of learn a little bit from everybody that was there before u ,so i had many influences. but guys like angel (from the baldies) boog (dead prezidents),musketeer, and billy walker definently helped me and pushed me to really learn this sport.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have been in the business for quite some time, even doing tours with Rodz as the Super Medics. You've even branched out to Texas. What have been some of your favorite memories so far, and what were those experiences like?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :texas was very special time for me because i wasnt in the business a year yet and i was already going away to do shows and i also got to team up with johnny rodz and you couldnt get much better experience then teaming up with your trainer.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Recently, you've branched out doing other indy shows away from Johnny Rodz' WUW promotion. What promotions have you worked for and how are they different from WUW?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :i have worked for wuw, wsw, wxw, abc, and i have recently debuted with victory pro wrestling. Wuw is a totally different experience cuz its mostly a student show and everybody who is a member of the school has a job at our shows. No matter what stage theyre at in their wrestling development . be it wrestling , refereeing, music, setting up chairs etc. the whole idea johhny has is that he wants his students to learn every facet of this business and learn it well.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You've recently debuted in Jimmy Hustler's ABC Pro Wrestling. How has that been like? What are your thoughts on your matches there, and what are your thoughts on your feud with Nick Berk?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :abc has been great and i have to thank jimmy hustler for giving me a chance to work for his company. i have definently enjoyed my feud with nick so far as it is my first high profile fued with somebody like nick and working with him has been another great learning experience for me . and now with the addition of slyck wagner brown and jay static i feel its only gonna get better.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You've known Jimmy Hustler for some time through Gleasons. Do you have any good Jimmy Hustler stories to share with the DOI readers?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :first off i would just like to say that jimmy is another guy who broke me in and am forever grateful for that. and i know for a fact that jimmy been liftin heavy weights for the last few months so im not gonna be too vicous for fear of my health. lol but there was a Wuw show in astoria, quenns about 5 years ago and jimmy being the daredevil lucha libre wrestler that he is attempted a scintillating leg drop from the top rope and proceded to break his tailbone and bruise his left buttocks. seeing a GROWN MAN crying in pain while rubbing his ass makes for funny scene.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You also recently worked for Damian Dragon's JRW. What was that experience like and what were your thoughts on those shows?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :jrw was another fun time and is run by another guy who really helped me alot in the beginning Damian Dragon. i am really grateful for letting me work for him. i worked against a guy i started out with smooth operator and his manager slim jenkins. both i think are vastly underrrated and perfect classic heels which i think the business definently needs now.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Who have been some of your favorite opponents in your career? What wrestlers don't you like wrestling?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :my favs would have to be first working a match against al snow which was probaly my greatest learning experience i have ever had so far. nick berk, jay static, jorge santi, minyon, danny demanto. i dont have anyone that i dislike working with.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on your trainer Johnny Rodz and his contributions to the business?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :johnny is a wwe hall of famer so that hall of fame plaque that stands in the office speaks for itself. he is the man and if you ever talk to him he will probaly tell u the same thing. LOL

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You are currently booking WUW, and in my opinion doing it wisely as a wrestler, as you keep yourself in the opening matches and not on top. How has the booking experience been for you, and what do you try to do when you book? Do you like wrestling or booking better?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :its just another side of the business i have always wanted to be a part of. i try to showcase as much of the new talent as possible cuz i think we have the most underrated group of wrestlers on the northeast. guys like sunset saints and dreamcaster(great future) joe "so" delicious (hes gonna be big-time!) don tito,.wifebeaters, juan jeremyand deezu and our lil diva tina marina. these guys and girls just need the exposure and i think people will love them.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on the infamous Rocksha 337? Have you ever seen any of his legendary USA Pro Wrestling matches? Do you have any funny Rocksha stories?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: all i can say is that rocksha 337 is my hero!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on Bad Boy Page?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :another hero of mine and i wish he would make a full time return to the ring!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What has been your career highlight so far?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :wrestling al snow and finally catching a break at abc wrestling.so hopefully i have many more highlights.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Where do you see Flexxx in 2007?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: hopefully making a living at what i love to do : pro wrestling

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you want to say to anyone reading this?

Mack Daddy Flexxx: :thanks for taking time to read about me and wrestling story and i hope i didnt bore you. And if u wanna come checkout a promotion with talent ready to breakout come checkout WuW's next show on SAT. NOV 18TH at 8 pm. 83 front st. brooklyn, ny

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Thanks alot for this interview.
