Devin Sturgis and his clients
Extreme TNA Devin Sturgis
Whats up boys and girls? Recently, I sat down with Extreme TNA Devin Sturgis and conducted this interview. Devin is very adamant about his cause on the indy scene, and he let me know it at various times. I think this is one of the funnier interviews you will find, but don’t tell Devin, because he'll threaten to pimp-slap ur ass.?I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
Sean The MiC McCaffrey(From now known as The MiC) How did Devin Sturgis and Dirty Money hook up?
Extreme TNA Devin Sturgis: (From now known as Devin: )Hook up?? HOOK UP? Listen playah, you may be sitting there sippin on ur 6 pack and hookin up with Sign Guy (the NJ variety, not the real one)...but Devin Sturgis and Dirty Money do not "hook up"! Now, if you're talking bout how Dirty came under the managerial umbrella of the "Guiding Light over an infinite sea of darkness" Devin Sturgis, well why wouldn't the richest, most successful pimp get the services of the most successful, toughest mack thug? You hear what I'm sayin? That's right. So back off with the hook up talk or Dirty will make sure you get hooked up to an IV faster than a crack whore gets hooked up to a heroin needle. But to answer the question you MEANT to ask, I put Dirty through years of tests against other wrestlers I was managing, until he realized he is trying to make it in a white man's world and he needs a white man on his side...and who bettah than Sturgis?
The MiC: How did it feel not to win JCW's Skin to Win? Do you feel that Foxxxy Dreams was the better woman that night?
Devin: Yo, another scenario where the "Man" is keepin a brutha down? You feel me? Look, I don't care bout no chromosome stuff, you wanna be a woman you better have it where it counts, between the legs and between the shoulders, you feel me? And when I say between the shoulders, I ain't talking about Charmin or Kleenex. So, do i feel Foxxxy was a better woman? Yea, Foxxxy eventually did what she was supposed to...lying on the floor horizontal, knocked out, with her hands shackled. As far as not winning Skin to Win? I DID win. Watch the tape, and listen to the crowd. I am the PEOPLE'S SKIN TO WIN Champion! Just cuz I didn't lay down for the man, doesn't mean I wasn't the real winner...ya feel me champ?
The MiC: What are your career goals in wrestling?
Devin: Easy question. I have a short term and long term goal. Short term goal. I want to manage Whitey. That's right. I want Theodore Long to come out with the Mack and when they show the ring with Whitey, there I am. They don't have to announce me or Whitey. But every 5 min challenge there I am. Pimpin out Extreme T&A Style. My other immediate goal would be to interrupt a Sable Challenge and dance my Thong Dance on WWE TV. Long term goals, I want to take over everything, make all the bitches my ho's and own all the bling...including having that WWE Gold around Dirty Money's waist as well as having some around mine and my boy, "The Dynasty" Sean Lei's waist. I might even let that broad Kameo have some gold. We'll see.
The MiC: Does Dirty Money need Devin Sturgis or is it the other way around?
Devin: Brutha, let me explain the way the world works. There are no friends. There are no enemies. There are just a collection of people mutually or not mutually using each other, ya hear what I'm saying? Devin and Dirty are on a 50-50 basis. He gets 50% of the gold, I get 50% of the women, the gold, the bling, the cheddah. The real question is why you tryin to start shit between Dirty and Devin? Four questions and 2 already trying to divide the line...just ANOTHER example of the Man trying to cause problems. Next thing you'll ask is who would win between me and Dirty in a "Sing-a-long with a'Ha" contest. Brutha, we aint goin that way, so don't even try.
The MiC: Do you feel that Dirty Money and yourself,Extreme TNA, have been slighted by other indy promotions, considering that Dirty Money has been around for a while?
Devin: Dirty has been around longer than most people think. Dirty is also the baddest mofo around, and has one of the best looks in the ring. I think most P's be wacked when they don't book him, but hey, their loss. Cuz Devin Sturgis is the smartest man in the business today and you'll be seeing Dirty in some marquee stuff soon. Do I feel slighted? Nah, everyone makes their own call...and if you think that your next door neighbor, your uncle's fourth brother's college roommates' exgirlfriend, or any one of the cheddar cheese eatin, Black plague carrying, 5th ringpost wanna-bein rodents can do what I do at ringside, then that's your dollah being wasted. You want talent, look no further than the Untouchables. Whether that be Dirty Money, whether that be Sean Lei, whether that be Kameo, or whether that be the Rat Killah, Ho Thrillah, I-may-be-white-but-I'm-not-Vanilla man himself, "Extreme T&A" Devin Sturgis....you always ALWAYS get the most exciting part of the show.
The MiC: How did it feel when Dirty Money won the JCW Television Title?
Devin: Come here kid so I can pimp slap ur ass. That has to be the dumbest question in history. Let me explain something. Dirty Money hasn't lost in JCW since we dropped that pimp wanna be J Train. Dirty Money won the TV title because the people wanna see me on TV each week. And I'm calling out Dirty Don Montoya cuz his belt is next. Dirty will win it all in JCW cuz Dirty Money is the baddest mack in the pack and Devin Sturgis is the slyest fox outta da box.
The MiC: What do you think is your career highlight in wrestling?
Devin: I have a lot of highlights. In fact, everytime I'm out there, its a highlight. Whether I'm thrillin in Virginia with my boxer dance, whether I'm thrillin in New Jersey with my big pocket thong, whether I'm helping Preston Quinn beat the dickens out of that no-rhythm Disco Inferno, or whether I'm helping Dirty Money clobber that Reckless "I used to be a" Youth for the JCW Champion....it's all just a link in the platinum chain I call a LEGACY!
The MiC: We have seen Extacee join up with you two in JCW. Can we expect any more members to add to your faction?
Devin: Does your momma make cash by getting rug burn on her back and knees? OF COURSE! And so will I add members as need be. Untouchables reign everywhere...and New Jersey needs some class. But you won't know where or when. Who knows, I may even slap a ho or two or four and add them in to the pack as well. See, my cell is ringin off the hizzzook with people wantin to join. Tho if that freak calls me again and plays some silly 80's diddy I'm gonna get all Shug Night on his ass.
The MiC: What are your favorite promotions to work for? Least favorite?
Devin: JCW, NWA-VA, and VCW are all my favorites right now. Least favorite? Well, my friends know...no need to give them press. I don't want enemies, I'm just trying to keep my dreams alive!
The MiC: How do you deal with the fans that don't like you?
Devin: Yo, no one doesn't like me! I'm the guy they love to hate, brutha! They're not saying "Boo!" they're saying "You're so much hotter than an Italian in tights" and "You're so much cooler than a mist spittin balding midget!" and "We love you more than people wearing pink wigs!!!" It just sounds like Boo, ya dig?
The MiC: When will you ever get in the ring?
Devin: Man, if I was a short, chubby kid I'd say "whatcha talkin bout willis?" I'm always in the ring. Before every match, I get in the ring. Oh, you mean wrestle? Why should I wrestle again? I've been there done that and got bored playah. I've beaten all the greats, held all the belts, taken over all the territories, and now it's my turn to share that championship level knowledge with my protoge, Dirty Money.
Word Association:
Ricky O Sharp Promoter...knows his shit. Has done everything he said he would do. Owe him for finally bringing me up north.
> Dirty Money: A man who has "it". Quiet guy normally, scares people with that unintentionally. Way underused. Gets passed over for shows when he should be the first one called.
> Sean Lei: A true ring general. All promoters complain about not having a franchise player to build a company around...yet here sits Sean. Will elevate anyone he is working with.
> Kameo: A class act all the way. Hell of an in ring talent (which is rare). Just needs opponents. lol
> Stone Cold: Wish I had a talking watch. When I want to remind myself what a promo is all about, I pop in his ECW promo where he shoots on WCW. In the top 10 promos.
> Hogan: The man who helped put today's pro wrestling on the map. My dream is to have WWE go to commercial break in the middle of the fan pop for my entrance then come back, and still have 5 more minutes of it. Amazing charisma.
> Rock: A Natural. Can say the same things over and over, yet still keep it fresh. His last heel run was his best yet.
> Angle: Quietly, he became WWE's top guy. Amazing in ring, amazing facial expressions, amazing promo skills. The complete package.
> HBK: Introduced to the mainstream a whole new way of doing things. His in ring battles with Bret are incredible to watch. HBK v. Hart Iron Man match. Amazed he is able to walk.
> Vince McMahon: Would love nothing more than 1 month to follow this guy around and just absorb everything he does and knows. He's where ever promoter wants to be.
> Steve Corino: Nice guy. Taught me promo skills when I was but a wee lil manager. Will always tip my hat as one of my mentors. Nice family too. Colby will be champion one day.
> Simon Diamond: This guy should be in WWE already, sheesh. Has been my go-to guy for advice for years now. Another mentor of mine that should write a book on ring psychology.
> Dawn Marie: Classiest lady I know. Taught me how to be a manager and how to develop a character. She's a good friend and I'm proud of her success.
> Alexis Laree: Close friend. Glad she is getting attention in NWA:TNA. Broke my teeth just after her and she was great helping me along. She takes the sickest bumps lol.
> Vince Russo: Haven't met the man. Another person I'd like to study more closely.
> Carmine Sabia: Haven't had a chance to work for him yet, although there have been talks. He's definitely been missing the Dirty Money boat.
> Fat Frank: Met Frank at a few JAPW shows this past summer. Would love to work those shows this summer (hell, my aunt's beach house is 10 min away lol). Shows seemed to be very well done.
> Lex Luger: Everyone has issues. Let's just all hope he recovers from everything and the truth comes out.
> Livewyre: Not sure how he's a cruiser, but a very nice guy and one hell of a talent. He'll pick up a lot learning from John Shane.
> Tony Lo: Met him once. Seemed nice enough.
> John Shane: Great guy. It's a pleasure working with him. He's the Jim Cornette of the new century. Def one of the top managers around and def deserves the press he gets.
> Becky Bayless: Would benefit from learning to shake everyone's hand when she comes and goes.
> Noel: For the short time she's been in wrestling, she's got amazing ability. One hell of a marketing brain under that pink wig. Good friend also.
> Declaration of Independents: The Constitution wouldn't be the same without it. Oh. Um. Except for the fact that they hang out with Sign Guy from NJ, they're alright.
> Devin Sturgis: Just a guy trying to do what he can to absorb everything. Trying to break into the big dance in a position with the fewest spots open. Hopefully, a guy who entertains the fans. Glad to be up north finally after years of trying.
The MiC: What do you have to say to anyone reading this?
Devin: Yo, if you ain't on the bandwagon or in the back of the caddy NOW, get on board baby, cuz youz about to see a LOT more of Dirty Money and Devin Sturgis...and you're gonna see a LOT more of the Untouchables. To all you hatahs, stop playin! Check out http://www.untouchablekliq.com for all the details and some cool stuff.
