Danny Demanto

Keith Zimmer: First off how are you?
Danny Demanto: Never been better... Everything is looking up right now.

KZ: How did you get started in the wrestling business?
DD: I started out when I was about 15 years old as a photographer and a bunch of other things. I always wanted to be a wrestler since I was 2 years old and I just did anything I could to be around the business and learn. I started training at the age of 16

KZ: What promotions have you worked for since becoming a pro wrestler?
DD: First match I ever had was for Ricky O's promotion JCW... For that I am very grateful. Ricky will always be a life long friend. I’ve wrestled in many promotions since then but to name a few that people would know... ICW/UCW, USA Pro Wrestling, Chaotic Wrestling, SSCW, TWF, and many more that I cant think of off the top of my head.

KZ: What is your favorite promotion? And least favorite promotion to work for? And why?
DD: I don’t have a single favorite promotion, I like working different promotions for different reasons. I don't really have a least favorite promotion either. I know that sounds so political but its the truth.

KZ: What is your side of the story of what happened between you, Boogalou, and Da Hit Squad at the APW show?
DD: It was blown way out of proportion on the internet. There was a misunderstanding where they thought I tried to do Homicide's move with him in the main event but I didn’t do it on purpose and I thought I was doing and different move. Since then Boogalou and I have talked and are cool once again. Since I started I’ve always been cool with him and I am happy its like that once again.

KZ: What is your side of the story of what happened in the fight with Deranged?
DD: Like I said in the last question the interview blow that up more then it was... there was problems between me and him away from wrestling for over a year. I never wanted to fight him cuz I’m against doing that. Especially in front of fans during a show. I just wish it didn’t happen.

KZ: What is your personal feelings about Jac Sabboth? And what happened to you and Damian Dragon at the ICW re-birth show?
DD: Jac and I were always good friends. Away from wrestling we are still friends. He had to do what was right for his company and if he thinks firing Damian and I was the right thing to do then fine. ICW isn’t the only federation I work for. I will always be there if Jac needs me to come back 1 day.

KZ: What is your thoughts on Frank Goodman, and why did you help him after the things went down between you two?
DD: Frank Goodmen and I haven’t always seen EYE to EYE but we both realize that we can benefit off of each other instead of hating each other for no reason. Frank Goodmen as much as people hate on him runs NY INDY Wrestling. ROH would have never ran the elks without his license. Jac would have never ran the elks without his license. USA Pro Wrestling would be nothing unless it was for Frank. I helped out Frank when no one else would. I helped him for my own reasons and Frank is now repaying me by putting me on shows. I was always against ticket selling cuz I basically I don’t know people that would come see me wrestle other then people in the wrestling business. Now I can be on USA Pro without doing that. I also wanna thank Frank for being very cool with me when I went down and trained at his school. I felt very comfortable there compared to other schools.

KZ: Will you be back in USA Pro Wrestling?
DD: As I stated above yes I will and I cant wait.

KZ: Will you be back in ICW?
DD: Hopefully 1 day. Only time will tell.

KZ: What has been your favorite match to date? And why is that your favorite?
DD: Probably still my favorite match was when I wrestled Justin Cage in a 45 minutes to 1 hour 2 out of 3 fall ladder match in North Carolina for a federation called HPW. That show was never taped and I’m so pissed about that.

KZ: What is it like working for JCW?
DD: GREAT! I love JCW. No Stress no worries and everyone in the locker room is so cool. Simon Diamond is a great locker room leader.

KZ: How do you feel JCW's new TV deal will effect your career?
DD: I wish them the best of luck with it. I wish could watch every week but its not on cable vision yet. I love everyone in JCW and I hope to stay in that company forever. As far as my own career the people in the front office of JCW and I have a great relationship so I could only see positive things coming out of this.

KZ: You get a lot of "heat" on the message boards why do you think that is?
DD: Cuz a lot of workers go on boards and hate on each other. For every 1 fan there is about 5 workers posting about other workers. It’s stupid and childish. I just wish there wasn’t any message boards cuz heat gets started for no reason. According to the boards I have had sex with every girl and some guys on the east coast which isn’t true and I have heat and don’t like people like Homicide, Justin Cage, Boogalou, Hit Squad, Boogie Knights, Damian Dragon and many others and all of those people I have the utmost respect for. So whatever you read is false.

KZ: Where do you see your wrestling career being in the next 5 years?
DD: I honestly can’t answer that question. Hopefully I will still be healthy and still doing my thing. I could only pray.

KZ: Lastly is there anything you would like to say to your fans/haters that I may have left out?
DD: Not really... if there are people out there that like what I do great. If there are people that hate me great too. Not everyone likes The Rock... not everyone likes Hulk Hogan... I’m not saying I am at either of there leagues but everyone has there own opinion. I love hearing feedback so if anyone ever wants to contact me you can do so through my website at www.dannydemanto.com
