Dana Dameson

The newest starlet on the indy scene

What's up boys and girls and welcome to another McInterview. Today I interviewed Dana Dameson, who is causing quite a commotion with fans all over the indies. Dana has popped out of obscurity and has started to get her feet wet in SSCW, USA pro, ROH, and JAP. Check out this interview to learn more about Dana. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: How did you get your start in professional wrestling?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson: I really wanted to do this for a while. i came across Sean "The Mic's" email address, commented him on the DOI site, and asked him his opinion on how it would be for me to get into the business. He said he and his partner Carmine needed girls for SSCW. I started looking for places to train, and I figured why not the USA Pro training center? I called up the phone number that was listed for more information. When I called, it was Frank Goodman. I told him that I was interested in training, and that i just got signed for SSCW, and hopefully I would work in his company. He said he would use me. So since SSCW and USA Pro were running the same night, I worked USA Pro for my first show, then made my SSCW debut November 7th!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Why did you want to get into pro wrestling?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson:I always used to go to shows....USA Pro, 3PW, XPW.....I just loved it! And i always could picture myself doing it, so I just went for it, and here I am!

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Who were your favorite wrestlers growing up?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson: Today? Growing up i didn't really watch much wrestling. i would say when i was a little little girl i used to watch WWF. Back then all i could remember was Macho Man and Hulk Hogan. I started watchin wrestling frequently when i was about 13. I used to go for the heels! I loved The Rock, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, X-Pac.....the whole DX.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have made a big splash in recent weeks in the indies, from working in JAP, ROH, SSCW and USA Pro. What has it been like working in these promotions?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson:Amazing and extremely lucky. I can feel that i'm getting heat since i can't wrestle, and since i'm getting bookings so quick for these big companies that other people had to work hard to get to. This is something i really want to do, and if i get heat i'm just gonna have to suck it up. what people don't know is that i just started. i do train, and i can't wrestle yet. i think its gonna take me a while to finish training. its like people expect me to walk in the door and take a bump in a match. i can't do that right away. i'm a manager for now, and when i learn how to bump, i would love to do it. but i don't think i'll be ready to have a match for a while.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You go by the name of Jailbait in JAP, and Dana Dameson in the other promotions. What made you choose a gimmick that might be considered very racy?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson:Just wanted to be different. not a lot of the girls that i know of have a set gimmick. i wanted to have something different.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have recently wrote a column on the DOI that has caused massive complaints. What do you want to say to the people who have complained about your column?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson: Certain people have every right to complain....they know who they are. but other people didn't have to say anything. it had nothing to do with them.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Do you feel that you have been thrown in big situations too fast, in your very early career?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson: I guess the controversy has been a little overboard. but its all good. doesn't bother me at all.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What has been your favorite moment in the business?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson: Being on 4 shows, for all different feds.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What has your training been like?

Dana "Jailbait" Dameson: Rough. Bravado is trying to make me stiff, and Az is basically helpin me work on bumps, headlocks, and stuff like that.
