Briana Bryans

What up everyone and welcome to another McInterview. This time I interviewed one of the newer female wrestlers on the scene today. Her name is Briana Bryans. Briana comes from the Buffalo area and works steadily for OSPW. Briana's name has been mentioned on various websites and message boards by fans looking for her to debut in their respective companies. She's also rumored to be a big Dan Barry fan! Check out the following interview to see what her thoughts are on various subjects. I hope you enjoyed this interview as much as I did.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: How did you get into pro wrestling?

Briana Bryans: I went to a training camp and kept going from there.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Why did you want to get into pro wrestling?

Briana Bryans: When I saw it on TV for the first time I got drawn into it and decided that it was what I needed to do with my life.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What wrestlers have been an influence on your career?

Briana Bryans: Kurt Angle and Terri Power

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You are not known by many indy fans, as you're a rookie. What promotions have you worked for and what is your normal gimmick?

Briana Bryans: I work for ospw, nwa-east, nwl, and in the past have worked for pcw-chicago and apwf. I'm normally a face but would like the chance to work heel soon. My normal ring attire is a black stretch jumpsuit or a baby tee, baggy pants and a baseball cap.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What indy wrestlers are you a fan of today?

Briana Bryans: I like AJ Styles, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels, Slyk Wagner Brown, April Hunter, and Valentina.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have worked alot for OSPW. What is it like working there?

Briana Bryans: Ospw is awesome, the locker room is a lot of fun to be in. There aren't any attitudes whatsoever, its pretty much like a family

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Being a female in the wrestling business, do you find yourself getting treated differently?

Briana Bryans: No, not at all

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Is it true that you have an out of ring relationship with Dan Barry?

Briana Bryans: No, is that what he's saying? Tell him to stop dreaming

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you think about the female valet role in wrestling?

Briana Bryans: I have a lot more respect for valets who are more than eye candy, who aren't afraid of getting in the ring and taking a few bumps.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you think about women wrestlers?

Briana Bryans: For the most part the women wrestlers i have met have been pretty cool. Im pretty happy to see that women's wrestling is finally gaining recognition and respect

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What has been your favorite memory in wrestling?

Briana Bryans: Debuting and hearing the fans reaction to me

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on the current state of indy wrestling?

Briana Bryans: I think i could answer this best by saying that every indy wrestler should sit in the crowd for an entire show at least once and see the show from a fans perspective. As one of the workers you never really see what the fans see so by you sitting in the crowd you have a better idea of what's entertainng and what's not. One of the biggest problems i see on the indies is that wrestlers don't involve the crowd, they give the fans no reason to react or be interested in what's going on.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your feelings about "ring rats?" How do you prove to people that you aren't a ring rat and that you take wrestling seriously when you have relationships with other wrestlers in the business?

Briana Bryans: First of all I think that a lot of people deem you as a ring rat long before they know you or have even met you. It seems like if you're a female in the business you're automatically a rat. There is way too much judgement and gossip going around. A girl proves herself not to be a ring rat by working hard and focusing on in ring work instead of flirting with the guys in the locker room. If a girl is seen hanging all over the wrestlers in the back chances are she is going to be called a rat. I don't think its really a great idea to date within the business but if you do i think its best to keep it professional in the locker room and not be hanging all over each other, it gives off the wrong impression.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What promotions would you like to work for that you haven't had a chance to work for yet?

Briana Bryans: Nwa Tna, Usa Pro, japw, wxw

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Who would be your dream opponent?

Briana Bryans: Victoria, Terri Power or Nidia

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you think about the use of drugs in pro wrestling?

Briana Bryans: Its a pretty stupid idea. Your body is under enough stress due to wrestling alone.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Would you rather win the WWE's Woman Championship or be the hottest woman in wrestling?

Briana Bryans: WWE'S Woman's Championship, looks fade

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Where does the future hold for Briana Bryans?

Briana Bryans: Just have to wait and see
