Johnny the Bison Bravado

What's up everyone and thanks for checking out this McInterview. Today, I interviewed Johnny "The Bison" Bravado. Since our last interview in April, which can be seen here: Bison's First DOI Interview The Bison has been spreading out to more promotions. The Bison has been making a name for himself and recently debuted in WXW, SSCW, and ROH. Check out the following interview where The Bison talks about his alleged Asian heritage, getting more work, wrestling hardcore and more. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Since the last time I interviewed you, you've been making waves and getting your feet in the door of numerous promotions. What is it like working in new promotions?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: It's a great feeling working new promotions and doing something different in each one and meeting new people.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Recently you've made your WXW debut, having a good match with Boogalou. What are your feelings on WXW and what do you think you have to do to make it to the top in WXW?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: I've only done about 3-4 shows for WXW but it is a great experience. My match with Boogalou was a good hard hitting match.WXW is a very professional environment and treated like one. The people there from Afa to his family and the workers are very nice and make you feel part of the WXW family very quickly. Basically to get to the top in WXW, I'm gonna have to keep working hard and busting my butt when I'm there and hopefully, i can make a name for myself there.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Recently, there have been rumors spread by annonymous sources, that you are in fact of Asian descent. Are you Puerto Rican or Chinese?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: Ah yes the asian jokes and rumors. Started by some friends during a ride home from a show few months ago and continued since. I am 100% Puerto Rican, so enough of the Asian jokes, Mic,and Solution and everyone else.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Is it true that you eat cats on the road as you go to show to show? How about eating cats in your normal day diet?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: If you're referring to pussy, yes i eat that, but no Cats.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Along with Terry Funk, Abdullah The Butcher and Balls Mahoney, you hold a pinfall victory over the NY/NJ Hardcore Legend, Low Life Louie. How does it feel to be in their company as one of the few to defeat Louie in a hardcore match this year?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: Honestly I wouldn't put myself in the same company as guys like Balls/Funk/Abdullah, at least not yet, but it was cool to get a victory over LowLife Louie in 2003, considering he beat my ass most of 2003 and he's only lost like 4 times the whole year, but he's still hardcore king.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have wrestled different styles this year, whether it be strong style, technical or hardcore. Do you have a preference over any style? Will you ever adapt a style as your own, or will you wrestle your opponents style?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: I work the style of the opponent I'm facing or whatever the promoter would like that day. I really don't like hardcore unless the money is right, except in Usapro of course. Other then that, I'll work any style and hopefully once I've developed more, I will have my own style to work, but for now, i'm down for whatever.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: On 11/28 you debuted for Ring of Honor, which is considered the premier independent wrestling promotion today. How'd it feel like to be in ROH? What did you think about your match with Slugger against The Solution? Will you be returning?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: Wow, Honestly words can't describe the feeling. For 2 weeks, when I found out I was going to work ROH I was nervous, not sure what to expect and how the fans would receive me. That day when I went out there, the respect and the ovation I received from the crowd was overwhelming, now it wasn't no Hulk Hogan pop, but it was more then what I expected and I felt very comfortable after that. The match itself with me/slugger against Solution was a very good match for a match that was put together last minute, but it made sense and the pyschology was good. It was the best 5 mins I ever had. As far as I know a return to ROH is likely, just can't tell you when.

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado out of the ring, doing what he does best, using his cell phone

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Is it true that you have had an off camera relationship with Jackie Chan?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: Of course not, but it be cool to chill with that gook.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Since the last time you did an interview for the DOI, your name has been mentioned on the USA PW Message board. You have been accused of working at a massage parlor. First off, is any of this true? If not, who do you think is writing it, and do you have a message for them?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: Oh yes the famous USAPW Message Board, where do I even start with that. First off, I don't work at massage parlor nor do i go to Queens Center mall bathroom But it's funny people got the time to make up these ridiculous stories and keep adding to them under like 20 names.. I won't even name the names, because they know they are guilty already and everyone knows who it is. Message is very simple, if you ain't gonna say it to my face then shut your mouth's and continue jerking off to mick foley, making bagels and doing hotlines, rather then pretending you like me or respect me.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your feelings on the self-proclaimed "Hardcore Legend", The Motivator?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: Marc Adler great guy but The Motivator as hardcore legend is more bootleg than Mask Maniacs natural 21 inch arms. HAHA

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have feuded with Low Life Louie in many promotions. What are your thoughts on working with Louie all over?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: LowLife Louie a very dear and close friend, a brother from the doghouse family. It is great working with Louie. Everytime you get in the ring with him is an easy night, regardless if your getting sliced open. It's fun and easy working with him. I honestly say I bring out the best in Louie, and he brings out the fire in me, and not that flaming fag fire you probably thinking like Striker(sorry Striker, how's the gerbil?) We try wherever we are at to put on a good performance for the fans and make each match better then the previous.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You are the only undefeated Xboku Pro Wrestling Television Champion. What was it like winning the title, and can you comment on your title run?

Johnny "The Bison" Bravado: Well even though the promotion was only around like 2 or 3 shows it was cool to be able to capture gold and stay undefeated at a remarkable record of 2-0. It was fun while it lasted, too bad it had to end, but hey I'm still a champ, that's all that matters. Word Association
