B-Boy After Winning the CZW Xtreme Strong Style Tournament and CZW Iron-Man Title
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: IWA MS has great shows but doesn't draw huge crowds. Why do you think that is?
B-Boy: I think it's mostly the places he runs... Indiana is so dead concerning indy wrestling shows. I believe he should run in closer to chicago like highland and other places closer cause that's where he gets all of his fans from.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You and Super Dragon are two of the better wrestlers from the SoCal area. How do you compare your success to his, here in the northeast, considering that he hasn't had great matches in JAPW yet and you have?
B-Boy: To be honest Dragon and Myself don't look to better each other successes. We are just both happy for each other that we are both doing well for each other ya know. Being that dragon and myself know each other and go back along ways we just happy for each other. Mark my words man Dragon will have a breakout match in JAPW sooner or later and people will see why there is an aura about him.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What's it like working for PWG? What are your thoughts on the promotion?
B-Boy: When I'm in town I love working for them. They are the first promotion I tell when I'm in town. My thoughts are that PWG is prolly the best promotion out in cali right now and the DVD sales is what is selling as well and when people want to buy dvd's of your shows you know your doing well.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on the internets role on wrestling?
B-Boy: Internet and wrestling comes hand in hand. Some are good and some are bad ... nothing you can really do to stop it. I mean what are you gonna do pull out a smart mark who does dirt sheets and pull him in the ring and beat the shit out of him??
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on your stable mate The Notorious 187 Homicide?
B-Boy: Homicide is cool man. He is definitely one of the top guys out there right now. Me and Homicide have so much in common and think the same way that's it's very very scary. I'm telling you man he is like my twin brother that I never knew i had. There is nothing I can say bad about him. He has brought out the top talents in the indies, been around a while and I mean will help you if you need it. He's an all around good guy and is highly respected.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What indy wrestlers are you a fan of?
B-Boy: Right now there is alot i'm actually liking... i like all the IWS canada guys, they are very respectful and can do some good stuff in the ring. Jay Lethal is gonna be like Joe this year, this kid is amazing. I'm also a big fan of Scorpio Sky and Scott Lost in Socal along with Human Tornado. In the midwest, this guy name Brandon Tomaselli will be very good. I still love watching Roderick Strong and Aries and AJ and Daniels.
I mean I like wrestling ya know and i'm just happy all my boys are doing well for themselves...
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What indy wrestlers do you think should just hang it up?
B-Boy: Hmmm I dunno that's there decision ya know.. If you think you can't handle it anymore whether it be physical or mental .. I say hang it up, if you can withstand politics and the toll on your body and you got the heart to stay in it, then I say stay in it.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts about the recent JAPW match you had with Teddy Hart?
B-Boy: I was really scared to be quite honest, cause Teddy didn't get there till maybe 30 minutes to our match. But we pulled off I believe a hell of a match, though spotty I think everything was in the match... good crowd heat and we just went crazy on each other. I honestly was very happy with the match, Teddy got hurt but he was absolutely happy with the match.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on SSCW and the way Carmine Sabia tried threatening you from working AWA?
B-Boy: Fuck Carmine... I'm so glad this kid doesn't get out his house, He tried to threaten me, like i said this guy is lucky he doesn't come out of his house. I wanted to do a favor for Negro at AWA and this prick decides to throw some weight around to not let me work AWA like he owns me or something...
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on the AWA promotion and why weren't you at their 1/7 show?
B-Boy: To me AWA is one the best kept secrets in wrestling right now. I was so upset at myself that I wasnt' able to make the 7th. I was in town but some problems arised and I wasn't able to make it, so for that I apologize to AWA, Mike Morgan and Damian for that. I feel so bad about it and I will make it up to ya guys... i promise.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have been worked for PWU in the past and had some good matches. Will you still work for PWU, or are you not allowed to due to the CZW/Kashmere heat?
B-Boy: As of right now, I really won't work for PWU cause of the heat that's between both companies... It sucks too cause i'm friends with kashmere and it sucks that politics had to get in the middle of someone trying to work ya know.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on The Backseat Boyz?
B-Boy: Good ol Trent and Johnny.... I don't care what any body says man, though a little too outspoken, these guys still remain good buddies of mine ya know.. They have never treated me wrong on any level and still are cool with me when there heat with czw happened. I'm glad they opened up there school and I'm glad they are doing what they want to be doing ya know. These guys busted their ass as workers and deserve any type of success they get.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on being a "smart mark" wrestler, considering you work for all the main "smark mark" promotions?
B-Boy: haha... "smart mark" wrestler.... i doubt that, i wrestle the way I like to wrestle, if it's not your cup of tea.. don't watch me ya know. I wrestle cause it's the best possible style that suits me, so all the fucking haters that don't like me... .. here is something from me " I don't give a flying fuck" ... me concerning wrestling for "smart mark" promotions, Can I help it if I'm a fan of wrestling??? Can I help it that the promotions I work for is considered smart mark promotions, it's the product i like and that's why i work for them..
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Do you think TNA or WWE are in your future?
B-Boy: Man I'm still waiting on fucking japan. Can't wait to get out there.. right now i dont' know If i'll ever make the WWE, it's not my style... TNA could work, but who knows how long they will be around ya know.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What promotions would you like to work for that you haven't worked for yet?
B-Boy: AWA is prolly the top one for me right now, you probably think what the fuck?, i'm telling you man it's the best kept secret in wrestling right now. Ummm I wanna hit up some NY area too, i don't know too much around there, i just wanna work where i haven't worked ya know.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What would you do if you could, to better the state of indy wrestling?
B-Boy: Have more fans to the shows... i mean, indy wrestling right now, or wrestling in general is in a downhill ya know... i think it's all about fans that make a wrestling show, the more fans... the more interest it goes to a company along with hype and such...
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What wrestlers would you like to wrestle on the indy scene that you haven't wrestled yet?
B-Boy: Right now there is a couple, One particualar is Jay Lethal, he has been going insane last year and he'll get better no doubt... Another is Azrieal who like Jay Lethal went insane last year and the guy gots something special. There is alot who I can't really remember but i definitely wanna work alot of guys right now.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What's a normal day in the life of B-Boy?
B-Boy: Hmmm... It's a good question, to be honest I don't know what time or day it is, since i go thru all these diffrent timezones and such. A normal life of B-Boy is simple ya know.. I mean I sleep, i get up.... shower and all that noise, run a couple of errands and wait till someone calls me to know what's going on, then figure out if i'm too lazy to go out or just stay home... I like relaxing when I'm home ya know, spend time with my family and boys. I'm simple I guess ya can say.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you want to say to anyone reading this?
B-Boy: Thanks for the ongoing support ya guys give me. It's a pleasure working for ya and I'll continue to hopefully keep going on with this until it's time to hang up the gear. Continue supporting the indy scene and do me a favor and don't bash the workers too much, cause we are the ones giving you the show and all we want in return is some type of respect... other than that thanks for the support.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Thanks alot for being candid and doing this interview.
