B-Boy After Winning the CZW Xtreme Strong Style Tournament and CZW Iron-Man Title

What's up everyone and thanks for taking time out to read this interview. Today I interviewed B-Boy. B-Boy has been tearing up the indy scene since we last interviewed him. Since our original interview in April of 2004, B-Boy went off and won the CZW Iron-Man Title, CZW's Xtreme Strong Style Tournament, and was a finalist in SSCW's Cruiser Combat. B-Boy is part of the Strong Style Thugs in JAPW and has been taking over JAPW with Homicide and Low Ki. B-Boy might have made his name out on the west, but everyone knows his name here in the east.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: B-Boy it's been about a year since we last did an interview with you, which can be read here: http://www.declarationofindependents.net/doi/pages/interviews/bboy.html What's been going on with you recently and how are you doing?

B-Boy: Yo man, lately I've been really really busy.... just trying to keep busy and try to get as much bookings as possible. Lately though it has been picking up, it's like i stay home now for maybe 3 days if that a week now and I'm off traveling again. Like I said though, things have been picking up and I've been keeping busy so I can't really complain about anything ya know?

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Since our last interview, you have really busted out huge here on the northeast by capturing the CZW Iron Man Title and by joining the SST in JAPW. What's it like wrestling on the northeast compared to working out in the SoCal region?

B-Boy: You know everyone wants to know the comparison of each coast and to be quite honest it's just the same... the west and east coast have fans that come out to the shows to enjoy, every worker busts there ass no matter what... I would only say that the only diffrence nowadays concerning the coast is that on the noreast side, it draws more then the socal region. Concerning the Iron Man title and the SST, I guess I feel just fortunate to be put in a situation with both deals. CZW gave me a title and I hold that with great gratitude cause it's like right now i'm a cornerstone of the company and they believe that I can hold up my own. With the SST, I can't say enough about JAPW as in a whole because I basically came in an outsider and they took me in already as a part of the JAPW family, everyone has been cool with me and I look forward to being a regular on the roster as well as being in with the SST.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Like I said above, you recently won the CZW Iron Man Championship. What was it like winning that title and breaking Chris Hero's lengthy title reign?

B-Boy: It was a good feeling. Hero has been portrayed on being very dominant in the division and he had the title for like i think 8 months or something. So when CZW decided to roll with me as the champ, it meant alot. I hope I'll be able to bring some good stuff to the division.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on the CZW fans?

B-Boy: CZW fans are great... actually I mean any fan is good. Cause you know they are a vital part in any company surviving and it's a good sign when CZW has been around 6 years now. I mean fans are fans ya know, some are spoiled some appreciate the work you do, the fans of CZW are both.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Do you think CZW is hurting right now, considering that there are alot of fans who know about them, as CZW drew 1000 for COD VI, but the January show only a few weeks later drew a 150 people?

B-Boy: As of right now, I would honestly say that CZW isn't hurting. It's like any other promotion that does good on certain shows ya know. COD is always a very good show which draws bout 1000 people as well as Best of the Best... but if you notice the shows right after actually draw way less.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What would you do to better CZW if you were the booker?

B-Boy: If I was booker right now, hmmmmm I'll be the first to actually tell you I'm not that creative when it comes to stories or shit like that. I believe fans come to see wrestling.. and that's honestly just me. If I was gonna do anything right now concerning booking in CZW iit would be just to give life to the World Title as it desperately needs it right now.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on Mike Burns from Smart Mark Video leaving CZW as a booker? Do you think it has negatively hurt the product?

B-Boy: I think Burns actually had a good grasp on using talent on shows. He did come up with very good ideas and brought in alot of talent, but what alot of people dont' understand is that it's not his company ya know, burns was the man you would come up with ideas and pitch them and most of them went over very very well. He was getting heat with people and stuff like that so he decided to step down and just do the taping on shows, which isnt' that stressful as it once was. The product is still the same, the crew now that is booking, is doing a good job... and they listen to others ideas and such.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on joining up with the SST in JAPW?

B-Boy: Being apart of the SST is awesome. I think Homicide/Ki and myself actually have a really good thing going on and we all click very well. I'm not gonna lie though, I did not want to be the brunt of causing heat ya know, cause here I am an outsider in the company and JAPW had enough trust in me to put me on the biggest story in JAPW and aligned me with Homicide/Ki .... It kinda worried me, cause alot of people there have worked there longer than me, alot of people, I feel deserved more than I did. Regardless though, everybody was cool with it ... and right now the SST/Teddy story is getting rave reviews ... so I'm really excited to be apart of something like this right now

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What's it like working for Fat Frank, Jeff, Ray Sager and Johnny D in JAPW?

B-Boy: To be quite honest they are really one of the best companies I've ever worked for. Frank/Ray/Johnny have all been good to me and I have nothing but good things to say about them and their company. They are really professional and have a grasp on what people want to see, then again they are the greatest to party with and have a good time. They are like friends then employers ya know.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts about your match with Low Ki in JAPW? Did you feel you got squashed, or did you feel the match told a story for later on?

B-Boy: I honestly liked my match with Ki... People said it was a squash, people said it was this or that... i say fuck them, I was happy with the match, Ki was happy, no one got hurt... and it built to the story with me joining with them.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: ROH has been notoriously known for "discovering" people and pushing them, which may or may not have delayed your debut in ROH, since you have made your name on the northeast in CZW and JAPW. You are slated to make your second ROH appearance on 2/19. What are your thoughts on ROH and what do you expect to do?

B-Boy: My thoughts of ROH is still the same, it's still a place i wanna work... I still love the product and I would love to be booked regularly there. You know alot of people have told me that the reason why ROH hasn't been booking me is cause of this "discovering" issue, I think it's bullshit and that it's people just trying to rumor up some shit. I'm just happy they booked me again. I've always been on good terms with Gabe and expressed my feelings on working there. I honestly can't wait for the 19th, I was on the Do or Die before and had a good match with Josh Daniels, this time around I'm looking to exceed expectations and honestly try to give all I got to get on the full time roster.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you think are your best matches?

B-Boy: Best matches are really hard for someone to say ya know... My best matches are ones that no one gets hurt that both of the workers like ya know. I can't really rate what my best matches are, but i will say the matches I've had this year I've all liked.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What people in wrestling would you just like to slap in the face?

B-Boy: Just like last time, the answer is the same, I would say promoters that don't treat their talent well.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You have been working for Ian Rotten's IWA MS for some time now. What's it like there?

B-Boy: It's fun down there and I've made alot of good friends down there. Rotten is a good guy and due to financial problems he has had a couple of problems lately. I have no doubt in my mind though he will bounce right back up. Rotten has given me nothing but respect since I've been down there along with top matches there and good stories... I can honestly just say that it's been a good time and look forward to keep wrestling for IWA.

Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on CM Punk wearing a Perverted-Justice shirt at a recent IWA MS show? Do you think he was provoking RF Video?

B-Boy: Well that's Punk being Punk ya know.... He's very outspoken and believes what he thinks. It's his opinion and he has a right to it. I don't think he was provoking RF but was making a statement.
