Ariel

What's up boys and girls and welcome to another McInterview. Today's guest is Ariel, who is making quite a name for herself on the indy scene. Ariel is more than just eye candy. She's a great wrestler and has most recently made an ROH debut. She's also the current SSCW Woman's champion as well. Scroll down to read this revealing interview. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The MiC: What made you get into wrestling, and what was the straw that broke the camels back, that made you say to yourself, that you needed to get into wrestling?

Ariel: I have always been a fan of wrestling. I was so intrigued by everything. While other girls were watching teen shows and soap operas, I would sit there and cheer on the wrestlers. What finally made me say I wanted to wrestle was going to independent shows and also seeing Molly Holly on T.V. I was a fan of Chyna but with her, I thought there was no chance girls with smaller stature could make it.. but after seeing Molly I had a ton of hope given to me. I decided I wanted to be like Molly and if someday I become half as good as her I will be all set forever.

The MiC: What was your training like? Anything like what the common fan sees on Tough Enough?

Ariel: Training is what you make it of it. People train different. Tough Enough just exagerated everything to a great extend which is good, because considering they all automatically had a chance to make it into WWE by working hard they SHOULD have it harder then everyone else. But, training to me was always hard because I busted my butt trying to learn as much as I can. I know I sound typical, but I want to learn as much as I can so I do the whole Sponge thing. I absorb everything I can.

The MiC: Who were your favorite male or female wrestlers growing up? Least favorite? Who are your favorites now?

Ariel: My favorite wrestlers growing up had to be Bret Hart, Bulldog, Owen, Shawn Michaels. I was a big big fan of Degeneration X so, all those guys. Least favorite had to be Kane and Paul Bearer. He was all evil so I of course disliked him. My favorites now have to be Kurt Angle, Billy Gunn, Triple H, Shannon Moore, Shawn Michaels, Rey Misterio and MOLLY HOLLY!

The MiC: What promotions have you worked for, and which are your favorites to work for?

Ariel: SCCW, YPW, PLW, ACW, ACWA, BWO, Ace Pro Wrestling, GWF, JWA, G.L.O.R.Y., PWF-NE, SSCW, Crush, PCW, BCW, SCW, WXW, Powerhouse, UCW and ROH. I dont actually have a favorite to work for. I love working, and I appreciate any oportunity I get to do that.

The MiC: How did it feel to win the SSCW Womens Championship? Does winning a title add anything to you as a wrestler, or is just like a regular match?

Ariel: Winning a title is always awesome. I think what titles do is just show that wrestler that obvioulsy you have earned that shot. Whether you win or not adds to the storylines. To me a title is more like an honor than anything else.

The MiC: You just recently debuted in ROH. How is ROH, and how does it compare to other indies?

Ariel: Ring of Honor isn't like any other indy fed. Ring of Honor is a different style, with different type of storylines and different type of crowd. Working for Ring of Honor was great and definitely an experience to remember.

The MiC: What womens wrestlers do you watch or talk to today, to get advice or to learn from, if any?

Ariel: On a watching point, I have to watch girls in WWE like Molly Holly. She is simply amazing. I also think watching Japanese Women's wrestling is very helpful. On the indies wise, I learned alot from Little Jeanne, Macaela Mercedes, Mercedes Martinez, Riptide, Allison Danger, Alexis Laree, and April Hunter. They have all helped me in some way and they are the type of girls that if I need help they wont be upset and they will definitely lend the help.

The MiC: Do you feel that female talent gets treated better or worse or the same, by promoters, as compared to the male talent?

Ariel: Promoters wise, I think the same. Especially if its a booker that is looking for the Wrestling part of it. They would want you to have a great match just like the guys.

The MiC: What would be your dream match?

Ariel: Ariel vs. Molly Holly besides that one, I would say Ariel vs. Joanie Laurer. I have been a big fan of both girls for a long time. Molly is my dream match though because she is my idol and I could learn a lot from her.
