Amy Lee with her partner Luna Vachon, "Satan's Sisters"
Welcome everyone to another edition of the McInterview, where I have had the pleasure of sitting down with one of the baddest
women in all of wrestling today, "Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee. For those who don't know (what's wrong with you?) Amy Lee has been in
the wrestling business for nearly 18 years. Learning under the likes of Dick Murdoch, Amy has become one of the most
respected women wrestlers in this area. Amy was also one of the last few remaining women to be around during the territory
days, which has benefited her career and knowledge of this business immensely.
In this interview, Amy leaves no stone unturned and went out of her way of giving the best interview possible. This is not a
fluff piece. In this interview, Amy covers all current events, PWU, WSU, her career, womens wrestling, her heroes & friends &
so much more. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.
Imagine bringing these two over for X-Mas Day Dinner!
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Amy, you've been a long time favorite here on the DOI, but this is
our first time having the pleasure to interview you. For the people who don't know you, what should they know, and for the
people who do you know, what is something they probably don't know about you?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: For those who do know me, I have a softer/gentler side. For those that don't know
me, I DO NOT tolerate nonsense or should I say lack of professionalism/courtesy inside or outside the squared circle.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You've been in the wrestling business for 18 years. Can you
tell us about all the change you've seen through the years? What's been better from since the time you've started? What's
worse? Was it easier to make more money then or today? Was it more fun then or today?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: First, there are no more territories where one can build their character or
sharpen their skills and learn about traveling, etc. Second, women's wrestling has become more of about image/physical
appearnace rather than skill/style/workmanship. It seems too easy to get into the "wrestling business" these days. It is more
on who you hangout with rather than what you have accomplished or can do. Wrestling, in general, lacks the "magic" that we as
children use to adore/hold close to our hearts. Everything is exposed or spoiled so to speak. People know what the results of
ppv's are before they even happen through "leaks." I miss the "magic" or the "not knowing" aspect of wrestling. It's like
finding out there is no Santa Clause, Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy all in one day. It is alot harder these days to be booked
on to a show because there are so many "wannabe" wrestlers out there willing to purchase tickets from promoters to be in the
main event of a card or fly themselves in for a show so the much better or well known wrestle gets "bumped off" a show for as
Uncle Sheiky would say a "jabroni." I have had extended conversations with Luna Vachan about these people and we both agreed
it kills wrestling when a "wannabe" kisses the ass of a promoter/booker to get a spot by buying airline tickets, buying
actual tickets to give out to friends and the "actual" wrestler gets shafted or overlooked because they want to be paid for
their services. Hell, you don't go to an auto mechanic and expect them to do the work for free so why should an actual
wrestler do the same? Wrestling has even changed on the Indy scene. There was a time when we would all go out afterwards and
hangout discussing our matches whether they were good or bad. We would listen to the "more expeienced" wrestlers who would
tell their war stories, experiences, etc. Now days, when a more experienced wrestler is in the locker room, people snub them.
I HATE that with a passion. I once worked a show in TX wherein Skeik Akbar (sp?) was watching backstage, I must have sat with
him picking his brain the rest of the evening on what would make me a better heel. He gave me some AWESOME advice that night
which I still use to this day. It was cool because he popped for my "clean" promo that night. Here is a true heel worker who
took the time to sit down and talk and no one else grabbed the opportunity. They just looked at him as an old man. Can you
say ASSHOLE!!!! As a matter of fact that weekend I got to meet and talk with such greats as Sir Oliver Humperdink who looked
phenominal, Killer Karl Kox who was Dick Murdoch's mentor and Gary Hart. I didn't see any of the other girls talking with
them or picking their brains. How sad. During my years I have had the privilege to gain the trust/respect of such great men
in professional wrestling such as,"Captain Red Neck" Dick Murdoch, Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart, Sir Oliver Humperdink, Dan
Severn, and my partner/hero Luna Vachon. To gain the trust/respect of such great people as these is not only a privilege, but
honor. I strongly believe HONOR and RESPECT is lost in today's wrestling. Wrestling seems to be watered down like a good soup
that has water added to make it last a little longer.
Not someone to mess with.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Women wrestlers seem to have a short shelf life. How have you
been able to stay around so long and still be entertaining after all these years? How many girls do you think you've seen in
this "revolving door" business? How many of them didn't belong? Can you name names? Who have been some of the better girls
you've crossed paths with?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: I don't know if women wrestlers have a short shelf life because Sheri Martel was
still managing, Luna Vachon still kicks ass BIG TIME as well as Moolah and Mae Young. I believe Mae Young has wrestled
apoproximately 7 decades. True, the women in wrestling have a revolving door, but I strongly believe because there are some
that believe they are going to have fame, fortune and glory without learning about the wrestling business. I sat down with
Sheri Martel this past spring and we had a chat about women's wrestling. She admitted that due to the lack of territories as
well as the demand for physical perfection women's wrestling is hard to work full-time. It is rare and there are few that can
do it. She said that women wrestlers today need a "real" job to fall back on. It's funny because when I started in this
business my mom use to drill the same thing into my head..."you need a real job or trade just in case." I use to resent that
statement, but, now, I appreciate it. I have seen some that don't belong in the ring and if I kicked the shit out of each and
every one of them, I would never be booked again. As I have previously stated on other interviews, I NEVER thought my matches
with Nicole Bass were any good. Usually, your matches with someone gets better, but in this case they got worse. She could
not remember ANYTHING about our matches and was so nervous she wouldn't listen. She was a very large muscular woman who was
in the right place at the right time....Howard Stern which got her noticed and an opportunity that I personally thought she
didn't appreciate. It was more of a financial gain then a career opportunity. Yes, I have been around a long-time, but NO I
never sold out for a payday or booking. I remember Kamala once telling me during one of our many chats "Amy - remember as
quick as you are in is as quick as you are out." How true, how very true. There have been so many girls through the doors of
wrestling that it would take me the next year to list all of them. A lot of them think that a cute outfit and being a "good
fuck" gets you the job. Well, you may "fuck" somebody to get the job, but you better be TALENTED enough to hold that job. On
anoher note, I have always looked out for those in my wrestling family as well as try to teach the nieve young ones how to
survive. I think a lot of times the young ones look at me as some "no body" who is just a fat fuck with a comment. Well, I
must have listened to the right people because I have survived the changes, chaos, and drama with my head held high and
walking straight ahead.
Don't be fooled, Amy is one of the toughest women wrestlers out there today.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Let's get this question out of the way early - what are your
thoughts on Gino Moore, Joe Panzarino and the NWS promotion? Is it true that Gino Moore is a sexual dynamo?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: Gino Moore was very good to my family. He went to see my dad in the hospital when
he was dying of cancer; called about my mom's illness; was there when my oldest brother died. On the same note though, I was
a friend to him. I would never let Gino spend holidays alone and included him with ALL my family functions. This is called
friendship. Unfortunately, Gino was caught ORIGINALLY in the middle of a fucked up situation between Panzarino and I. Instead
of either staying neutral or listening to both sides then making a decision, he bold face lies that he was in the locker room
during the incident. No offense, but anyone that knows or has seen Gino knows he has a very hard time walking and could not
make the stairs to the locker room. Now, most people would let the heat die down, but not Gino he came to PWU and put the
mouth on me to family and friends. In wrestling that is taboo. He knew he could not call Tod Gordon or Johnny Kashmere to
fire me so instead he acts like a little cunt and comes to the show and puts the mouth on me. I guess he needed attention
that day. It was amazing though, I went to JD Smooth's show this past January and tried to be the better person with Gino and
extended my hand for a hand shake. Instead, he snubbed me as if I was beneath him. Little to his surprise my fiance, Art
Palmer, was with me and saw all. Art was in his face telling him what a liar, bullshitter, etc. Art even told Gino how
Panzarino would drop his FAT ASS if Art or myself would offer $5k to Panzarino to become partners. After Art ripped fat off
of his ass, I started in. The sad/pathetic part was that one of his champions, Gavin Quest, was there and NEVER defended
Gino. Hmmmm could it be because the TRUTH was told to Gino. Later, Gino hears that PWPress is releasing my shoot DVD and
sends a press release to DOI trying to stop me from releasing it. Is that pathetic or what brotherrrrrr????? He did a few
fake posts about me and had one of his lackeys call and threaten me so I did what Gino would do, went to the police station
and made a record of both times his lackey called and threatened me. According to Eric Simms, Gino has now put me up there
with Fred Rubenstein on his "I hate you" list. Oh well, as you can see, I still wrestle part-time, have real friends, a
family and enjoy walking along the streets of life. I still do all of the same activities/functions that I use to do when
Gino would come around, but now just without Gino. It is amazing that his own partner doesn't want to include him in any of
his family functions. I remember one time Panzarino invited Gino, myself and Art to his house for a bbq. Panzarino called me
and asked me to make sure Gino brought a nice dessert from a bakery and not some Entenman's cake. His own partner questions
his mannerism. Does anyone in his life these days do the same for him as I have? Can he even say the same? As for Panazarino
and NWS......whatever!!!!! I have moved on to better opportunities.
Amy with her gold.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You've been a fixture in the PWU promotion. What are your
thoughts on working there? What are your thoughts about the rumored financial difficulties? Can you shed light on all this or
is this more of the internet making a mountain out of a molehill?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: I have been with PWU for approximately two (2) years. I enjoy wrestling in the
historical New Allahambra (former ECW arena). As for the financial difficulties I heard from one of the backers, Jimmy
Clydesdale, that is he upset that PWU was disappointed in his sudden decision to pull-out. What Jimmy lacks in realizing is
the outcome. He has screwed many people over by pulling out. He and only he booked some top talent to come in only to break
the verbal agreements which gave PWU a mouse under its eye. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows it is hard to make all
your money back right away. He is a child trying to be an adult who got caught up in his childhood fantasies which caused
others to lose food off of their table. I personally HAVE NEVER gotten screwed on a payday at PWU. My envelope is delivered
to me by intermission with the right amount, sometimes bonused for going beyond (like being put through a barbwire table by a
male when the main event no showed). I have spoken with the owners, booker, backers, etc. and it seems PWU is back on track.
I think this time they are going to be a little more cautious as to who they allow in their offices. It is true that Johnny
Kashmere is not allowed in the New Allahambra, but that is between him and the owner/manager. From what I gather, there was a
brutal verbal argument. Again, when a situation like that occurs, it is good to allow the heat to die. Don't forget when you
have multiple partners in business you are going to have multiple disagreements. It is never good to air your "dirty laundry"
in front of a fan for that is where half told stories begin, rumors start and more problems are created. Arguments should be
held behind closed doors and in private.
As PWU Champion, with the PWU/WWE/Indy Womens Championship belt
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: There's been rumors that you don't see eye-to-eye with Annie
Social. What are your thoughts on Annie and your PWU Womens title match with her?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: I STRONGLY believe to need to know the basics before you begin the "high flying"
aspect. God bless those who can get their asses off the ground cause I sure can't!!!! Annie is a nice kid with her head up
her ass! She had an opportunity to tag with Jim Neidhart against me and Helter Skelter. The only reason for this was because
PWU's booking committee needed an experienced person on each side. Annie had claimed she pulled a muscle in her hip getting
out of a car that day. Jim had asked her several times about just standing outside the ring on the apron wherein he would
feed the opponents to her. She hmmm'd and hauled and wouldn't even try it. I admit I am still pissed because she was given an
opportunity that someone like Cindy Rogers would die for. At that point, I started to yell at her about how it was a
privilege for her to tag with Jim since the only two women he ever tagged with was Nattie Neidhart and myself. She didn't
care nor wanted to cooperate, but she didn't have a problem coming to ringside flaunting her belt. News flash Annie, the
person makes the belt not the belt make the person...so as far as I was concerned you shitted on PWU Women's Division and all
of the other women wrestlers who ever wrestled for PWU. It is amazing how things turn out because Annie wreslted for WXW
Women's Tournament 3x the following week and against Sara Del Rey 11/17/07. From what I was told, their match wasn't that
good and not by Del Rey's fault, but Annie's fault. She hadn't gone to practice and took the match lightly. Annie was going
to wrestle, in my opinion, one of the top women wrestlers on the indy scene. She should have busted her ass. Then, I heard
Annie complained that Del Rey kicked her in the head and arms too hard. Annie made PWU, XFC and most importantly HERSELF look
like shit!!!! She is lucky that all she got were a few bruises just ask the Diva Killaz about Luna!!! Better yet, if you want
to be safe stay home in bed under the covers hiding. I will continue to support PWU and its women's divisions because I think
they can really put women's wrestling on the map.
How Ironic, Killin' "The Diva Killaz"
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on Tod Gordon?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: I have known Tod Gordon forever!!! I actually met him over the telephone back in
1991 while working for Dennis Coralluzzo at Den's insurance office. I finally met Tod in person when he and Dennis co-
promoted a show. It was cool cause we already knew a lot about each other before ever meeting in person. Tod has some great
ideas and has built some great feuds. One thing I appreciate is that he will allow you to input your ideas into the match. If
he doesn't agree with your idea he will explain his reasons. Most people just say "no" or don't allow you to input into your
own matches. I do sometimes get frustrated with him because I want to see PWU's Women's Division explode, but in all fairness
he has a lot on his plate with the promotion and no one is perfect. He and I have recently talked about the women's division
and there will definitely be some changes. In my book, Tod is one of the good guys in wrestling.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Do you find it harder to get work because more promoters want
to book the Barbie Doll type girl rather than the wrestler with a legit background like yourself?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: Panzarino use to say that no one wanted to see a big girl v. little girl match
and that it was too boring for the fans. He use to make too many comments about my weight which is ironic because I believe a
family member of his has a serious weight problem. Funny, I'm too big to wrestle yet not only did I wrestle for his promotion
, but I managed as Dame Dapper Falco, and special guest referee for the hardcore matches such as New Jack vs. Little Louie,
but my ass is too big to wrestle? Anyhow, Alere and I had some real good as kickking matches and she is much smaller than me
or how about Riptide and my feuds. We beat the hell out of each other yet I have over 100lbs on her. I usually get booked
because the promotion needs an ass kicker/major heel so if I don't get booked because of weight ...who fucking cares!!!!! Do
I think I have been overlooked at times, of course, sometimes the Prima Donnas or ass kissers get the spots, but that can
happen even to the guys. There should never be a spot for someone who thinks their shit don't stink yet, their farts give
them away. Sometimes promoters treat the "legit" women like stupid cunts. They think they can bully us with shitty pays,
empty promises or down right disrespectfulness. When you confront these so-called promoters they usually put the blame on
someone else or play stupid. Please, I have been around long enough to hear every excuse there is so don't try to work a
worker. Go tell Amazing Kong she doesn't belong on TNA because she has a big ass.
Letting Everyone Know What's Up
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on Mickie Knuckles and your feud with
her?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: Mickie Knuckles has bigger balls with the crazy stuff she does then most men. I
truly enjoyed working with her. I know the fans enjoyed our matches. She is another one who is young and sometimes doesn't
think before speaking. She was fired from PWU for making a comment about Tod Gordon's booking in which 99 people backstage
heard her including one of his partners. It is a shame because she is ballsy and has a lot of talent. She just needs to let
Ian do the speaking and vent about shit at home. Again, great worker NO ONE can take that from her. She really needs an old
time female worker to take her under their wing and teach her about "women's wretling" which is far different then the men's
version.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Who are some of your best friends in the business? Is it hard
for the girls to be close knit since there are less of them and spots on shows are limited?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: I have what is called my CHOOCH CLUB. These are girls that I spend down time
with; Francine a/k/a Diva Chooch; Cindy Bobcat a/k/a Eyelash Chooch; Daffney a/k/a Boobie Chooch; Cindy Rogers a/k/a Elvis
Chooch; Missy Sampson a/k/a Baby Chooch (use to be corn on the cobb chooch but Franny changed it); Alere Little Feather a/k/a
Poke-a-hot-ass Chooch; Mercedes Martinez a/k/a Latin Goddess Chooch; Simply Lucious a/k/a Pervert Chooch. Last year I had a
New Year's party wherein the Chooch Club spent it together in our pj's getting drunk and ligting fireworks. It was awesome.
Boy can Alere burp!!!! As for limited spots, that even happens to the guys. My Chooch Club and I want to see each other make
money, become better, etc. To hold a grudge or be evil about someone else getting ahead that deserves it is just wrong. Now
if a bitch gets booked because she blew the promoter, then yeah that's fucked up, but then again, that's life.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What are your thoughts on WEW?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: I have been with WEW for over 5 years now. They have made me a main character on
their roster. They book a lot of top talent, but sometimes the matches don't go according to their plans. I know the
"erotic/exotic" part is to lure the male fans in, but sometimes while watching the ppv their "erotic/exotic" segments are a
little too long. They have a lot of potential, but I think they need an actual wrestler on their booking committee who has
the experience and knowledge to back their ideas. I have become somewhat known because of them and their tv and ppv's. No one
really knew of me until my WEW days. I actually owe them my grattitude for putting me over and out there to the wrestling
fans.
With Missy Hyatt, You Know Amy Just Said Something Dirty Here
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: You've been a fixture on WSU shows. What are your thoughts on
WSU?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: WSU is a young company with some top young talent that can go places. It will
take time. The locker room is positive yet laid back. It is not everyday Luna Vachon drops to your feet when you cut a promo
yelling "I'm not worthy!" Seriously, I truly enjoy working for WSU. They pay me, respect me, trust me, give me copies of my
matches and make me look like the nasty mother fucker on earth!!! What more can a girl ask for? lol
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Do you think all women promotions can last in the long run or
do you think in the end, places like WEW, WSU, SHIMMER, etc will be flash in the pans?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: It's not so much as being a flash in the pan, but having enough money to keep it
going. Prima donnas can ruin a good thing with their ridiculous demands. I DO NOT tolerate those type of people. Go on
America's Next Top Model with your bullshit don't pollute my locker room with that garbage. Also, a promoter himself can
pollute women's wrestling by looking at it as a "quick buck" to make instead of a long-term matter. There is a lot of talent
on the indy scene, but unfortunately none of the promoters of all women promotions are Rockafellars and have to rely on
DVD's/internet/limited ppv availability to promote their promotion instead of actual television time. I miss the old days
when Moolah use to handle the ladies matches wherein you knew you were getting an action packed/ass kicking match. Maybe when
I retire I will do the same as she and bring back that "women's old school" style that is lacked and sorely missed. One qucik
note, I think that in the MMA community they are now starting to promoteMMA women's matches on Showtime/Bodog. The question
is when will UFC have the balls to do the same?
With long time friend Jim Neidhart
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What happened with you and Luna Vachon, during your match with
The Diva Killaz & Liz Savage? Do you have a message for these three?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: It's simple. Diva Killaz/Savage have been put over so much by people that they
believed their own hype. They were living in the land of bullshit that day in which they weren't focused, listening or gave a
shit. They looked at Luna and I as two (2) old bitches they were going to just walk over. Big surprise. Luna kicked the hell
out of all three (3). Savage got it for touching a fan the other two (2) for not listening and screwing up. They were jumping
on Luna's neck wherein Luna told them she had an injury and that they better know how to kick with the kick pads. When I saw
Luna hair mare the bigger one, I knew an ass kicking was coming. I actually tried to calm the situation down by stepping in,
but the dumb asses wanted to go full throttle instead of slowing it down so I said "Fuck it, You're done!!!!" Luna and I ran
them out of the building that night. Oh and LEARN YOUR ART/TRADE DON'T PRETEND TO BE SOMETHING YOUR NOT!!!!!
Don't Forget Amy is In This Picture too
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: What do you want to say to anyone reading this?
"Pryme Tyme" Amy Lee: I want to thank all of those who support women's wrestling as well as indy
wrestling. Unfortunately, those who deserve to be on top don't always get the opportunity, but when you have the fans'
support behind you and willing to buy your merchandise it means more than a big contract or huge payday. Oh and checkout my
yahoo group....amyleetoughchich! lol Thanks.
Sean "The MiC" McCaffrey: Thank you for your time and good luck with everything.
