Alere
Little Feather

What up there boys and girls, and welcome to another McInterview. Today I sat down with Alere Little Feather, to conduct this McInterview. Alere wrestles all over the east coast, and is known for her work in DWOW, IWA and WXW, as well as many others. Alere is one of the better womens wrestlers today, so check out this interview, where she discusses her career in depth. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
“The MiC”: How did you get into pro wrestling? What was your training like?
Alere Little Feather: I was always into sports as well as entertaining. It just seemed like the perfect thing for me to get into. After making the decision to become a wrestler, I started researching tons of schools. I then contacted a wrestler who lived near me and asked him for advice. He recommended the Cruel School which is run by Rapid Fire Maldonado and only about 35 minutes away. I checked out the school and knew I wanted to train there immediately. My training was tough. I was treated the same as the guys....I still am. It was hard work, but it made me stronger and want to make it even more.
“The MiC”: What do you feel about the current state of independent wrestling? Women Wrestling?
Alere Little Feather: I think that women's wrestling is on a rise. I just did a mostly female old school style show the other day and the crowd loved it. The fans came for the wrestling! Even in the WWE, they are starting to build up the women's division again. Wrestling as a whole though, seems to be in a slump. Some promotions are still doing very well, but many are suffering right now.
“The MiC”: What promotions are your favorite to work for?
Alere Little Feather: I have never worked for a promotion that I didn't like. But if I had to choose a few, my favorites would be IWA (Reading), WXW & OSPW.
“The MiC”: What do you think has been your best match?
Alere Little Feather: I recently worked a match against Phoenix. We have similar styles and really clicked well in the ring. People were calling it the match of the night. She defintiely took me to school and taught me a few things, but I was able to still pull out a win. That's one of my favorite matches.
“The MiC”: What women wrestlers, either indies or WWE, do you like watching?
Alere Little Feather: Alexis Laree, Ivory, Jazz, Madusa, the list could go on and on. There are so many talented women out there.
“The MiC”: Do you have any pre match superstitions?
Alere Little Feather: I do actually. I have protection oil that I always put on.
“The MiC”: You probably get this question all the time. Do you feel that you get treated differently in the wrestling business because you're a female?
Alere Little Feather: *LOL* I do get this question often. Truth is, I've been treated for the most part equally inside the ring.
“The MiC”: You have worked for DWOW, as well as WXW and IWA. DWOW is more for male fans exclusively while WXW is a family product, and IWA is for everyone. What is it like working in DWOW, and what do you feel about the "other style of women wrestling?"
Alere Little Feather: At DWOW, I only work other female wrestlers. I don't do T & A. I have trained really hard to get where I am and I continue to train hard. I don't knock the T & A aspect of DWOW though. What you have at their shows is wrestling followed by the T & A. Basically, everyone goes home happy because there are so many different elements to their show. There is something for everyone. I really enjoy working there, the people are great and I always have a good time.
“The MiC”: What's a normal day in the life of Alere Little Feather?
Alere Little Feather: It depends on what day of the week it is and what month. I'm a pretty busy person. I work a job, as well as train atleast a few times a week (wrestling & working out). Right now I am taking the semester off, but I'll be taking classes again soon enough. Weekends are usually filled with shows and ring rentals. So I'm a pretty busy gal. Oddly enough, it keeps me sane! *LOL*
“The MiC”: Is Tatanka one of your favorite wrestlers? If not, who is?
Alere Little Feather: I like Tatanka, but he was never one of my top favs. I like a lot of different wrestlers but I guess if I had to pick a few, I'd say Ricky Steamboat, The Rock, Ivory, Victoria, Rapid Fire Maldonado & Lo Ki. The list really could go on and on though!
“The MiC”: What are your long term and short term career goals?
Alere Little Feather: I would like to be able to wrestle regularly in Japan. That's my main goal. I would one day like to make it to the WWE, but Japan is definitely my priority and what I am working towards. I try to take everything day by day though and just do the best I can do all the time and learn as much as I can learn.
“The MiC”: What do you want to say to anyone reading this?
Alere Little Feather: Please visit my website: http://www.alerelf.com and please support the MiC by giving him alcohol when you see him!
“The MiC”: Thanks for doing this interview and supporting my alcohol habit.
