RF Video Employee & Former Promoter Pete Ferriero Remembers Doug Gentry
Today is one of the most upsetting days for me. While wrestling has been blamed for the cause of many deaths, this is just the opposite. Wrestling gave Doug Gentry life. His untapped mind of the business as a whole was unbelieveable. But, wrestling is just the method of how I met Doug. It doesn't compare by any means to the person he was. He was always willing to go out of his way to do whatever he could for you. He looked out for everyone. If you wanted advice he gave it to you. He had a great sense of humor, and always made me look forward to seeing him. Doug Gentry was my friend. I learned more from Doug in the years I been around him than I had in any point of my life. It's just horrible that he was taken from us at such an early age.

Their are countless road trips over the last year or so that were made memorable from Doug. I will forever miss you, and wonder what you would of done or said about what's going on in the crazy wrestling world.

I can't express to anyone reading this how much sorrow I feel. He was the kindest person, quite possibly the nicest person I have ever met inside this business of snakes and con men. He cared so much for the business, but more importantly for all the indy workers inside of it. He could find talent out of anyone. He truly loved booking. He was the best at it. I got to work hand and hand with him in ELITE. He often talked to me about how much he loved the shows we did together. But, it was all Doug. I had nothing to do with it. He was just so smart, and so good at the smallest detail.

I just don't know if I can write anymore words to describe this loss....
I'll just miss ya man. The memories will stay with me forever.
