Modtrom Video Remembers Peer Doug Gentry
From King Mort:
WOW. I can't believe what I just read on the DOI site...
I got to know Doug back in 2000, 2001 when we would both be fighting
over spots to film from at ringside during JAPW shows...I had many
conversations with Doug when RF Video was beginning to set up ROH
Wrestling, talking about equiptment and editing techniques, etc...We
shared the common bond of working in production among other things.
Doug was always smiling, always friendly and he was one of the few
people that I always looked forward to seing and talking to everytime I
went to a show. He was FAR from selfish, and always went out of his
way to make sure the people around him were happy. He hooked us up in
Boston, and thats something we will never forget...Thanks Doug!!
It is most definitelly true when they say that only to good die young,
because with all the skumbags in the wrestling biz today, Why did they
have to take away Doug, who was trully one of the good guys.
ModTrom is burnin' one for you now brother........
From the Modtrom Staff:
I could not believe what I read when I saw the text message from Scott that Doug had passed away. I was in complete shock driving home from work. Doug was a class act and true professional. Although we had our separate video companies, Doug always appreciated our work and always complimented us. He always had a smile and made us laugh. It really makes you think how trivial all our problems seem when a tragedy like this happens. Doug - you are in a better place now brother. May God have mercy on your soul and rest in peace brother. Until we meet again.
