Holy shit…I’m in shock. I had only met Doug a handful of times, but every single time he saw me he’d come over and say hello. He was always polite, professional and respectful. In a business where there’s massive amounts of throat cutting and backstabbing, Doug was always up front and honest. We talked quite a bit at the “Retroslam” convention last September, and he was just a super guy. I swear he seemed like there were no enemies in his life, and that’s something I envied. I send my condolences to his family and friends. I think the most fun time I had around Doug, not that we hung out all the time, but was at that convention when him, RF, Pete Ferriero, and Chris Idol were just hanging out bullshitting and shootin the breeze for the few hours the convention lasted. There were some great stories told, some good laughs, and just an all-around fun time. I’ll miss Doug, may he rest in peace.
