I wish to , as a fan and audience member, convey to
Doug's family and friends my deepest condolences for
their loss. He will be missed by anyone who knew him
or even was at a show he worked, no matter what the
capacity.
He was that rare insider who was frank with
the fans and friendly and helpful as well. And as for
his work as a cameraman he was simply the best around.
Unlike the other video cameramen and women,Doug was
NEVER in the way of an audience view. After leaving a
show he shot you never realized he'd videotaped it, he
was that unobtrusive. A rare talent. And an all around
delightful guy in a business that doesn't have an over
abundance of them. He will be sorely missed both for
his work and for his presence. Sincerely,Ed Darcey
