Fifth Annual DOI 250

Profiles 51-100

51. Deranged- the 2007 NWS J-Cup winner, Deranged is still one of the premier light heavyweights on the indy scene. Competed for JAPW, WSU, AWA, DWI & for other indy promotions. Very emotional about his career and shows it in the ring. Can cut great promos when needed. Still looking for the ball in JAPW.

52. Archadia- after a career year during last years time period, Archadia took some time off due to a concussion/injuries. Wrestled for NWS, JAPW, AWA & for other promotions. The first ever DWI champion, Archadia was stripped of the belt a few weeks after winning it. Always gets good crowd reactions.

53. Nick Berk- the man of a thousand nicknames, Nick Berk has also gotten work under his Nicky Benz character. First ever ABC Heavyweight Champion. Wrestled for NWS, JAPW, UXW, PWU, WCPW & for other indy promotions. A good in-ring wrestler and has great charisma to boot. Can wrestle a variety of different styles, making him an asset to many different promotions.

54. Teddy Hart- perhaps the most controversial wrestler without a WWE/TNA/ROH contract today. Won the JAPW Heavyweight title over the likes of Low Ki & Necro Butcher. Wound up being stripped of the title when JAPW decided not to deal with him anymore. Has an aura around him that not too many wrestlers possess. Also competed for the PWX promotion.

55. Joker- when he's not defending the US as part of the military, Joker wrestles on the indy scene. Wrestled for CZW, PWU, GHW & for other indy promotions. Part of the successful BLKOUT faction.

56. Naomichi Marufuji- really only wrestles in ROH, but like Morishima, it would be remiss not to have him on this list. Comes to ROH from the Orient.

57. Ricky Reyes- part of the ROH's Rottweillers. Wrestled for IWC, WXW, PWU, CZW & other indy promotions. Not known for promos, Ricky is known for talking in the ring.

58. Josh Daniels- patterns himself after the style of Chris Benoit. Wrestles mostly in NJ independents, Josh also has Japan & ROH experience. Wrestles for NWA affiliated promotions.

59. Joel Maximo- 1/2 of the SAT's. Held the JAPW & PWU tag team championships during the year. Has improved his ring work. Also held the "missing" NWA Shockwave titles. Still uses the Spanish Fly as a finisher with his brother. Had big matches for WSU.

60. Jose Maximo- still teaming with his brother in the SAT tag team. Feuded with AMIL and the OCK during the year over various indy tag titles. Competed for PWU, JAPW, WSU, NWA Shockwave, NYWC & for other indy promotions.

61. 2 Cold Scorpio- after being signed & released by the WWE, 2CS wasted no time and won the PWU Heavyweight Championship, a championship he held before. PWU is his current home promotion, but still wrestles in other indy companies. A major influence on alot of indy wrestlers.

62. Jimmy Rave- now contracted to ROH, Jimmy Rave the former southeast star, makes his home in ROH. Has improved tremendously from the old CZW days.

63. Mike Quackenbush- the Chikara trainer & wrestler left CZW during the grading period, after winning tournaments and championships there. Was on the injured list a bit, but still made an impact in Chikara. Also competed for PWX, among other promotions.

64. Abyss- TNA's monster wrestles in the northeast from time to time, for places like NEW, AWA & other indy promotions. A former Shockwave Champion, and was involved in a match where John Shane thought a molotov cocktail in a church was a good idea. Known for the blackhole slam. Not afraid to get bloody with the best of them.

65. Trent Acid- last year's number 3 slips a bit, due to inactiveness. Was a UXW Grandslam champion, until losing all of his titles in September. Still one of PWU's icons, Trent is a former PWU champion, but now mostly helps the next crop of stars get to the next level. Went to the finals of the NWS tag team J-Cup. When 100% on his game, he has a legit claim as being the top wrestler on the entire indy scene.

66. Raven- Raven slowed up his northeast bookings a bit, which is also a result of UXW moving to Florida. Involved in the PWU vs JCW feud, which didn't exactly get the best blow off. Currently kicking back and enjoying a TNA salary, which is more due to TNA's booking than him. Still uses the evenflow DDT as a finisher.

67. Joey Matthews- after several runs as a WWE tag team champion, the long time indy wrestler returned to where he made his name on the indy level. Wasted no time finding work, competing for PWU, MCW, NYWC & for other indy promotions. Recently shaved his head. It wouldn't shock no one if he was back in WWE by this time next year.

68. Justice Pain- currently the CZW Heavyweight Champion. Has held the title for almost 8 months now. Really only competes in CZW, as he has never really had much success in other indy companies. Is dedicated to CZW. Won the title from then-champion Eddie Kingston in a three-way.

69. Monsta Mack- the Brooklyn Bull was all over the indy scene, for such promotions as JAPW, UXW, NWS, AWA, DWI, PWH, ABC, CZW, WSU & for other indy promotions. Having career matches in Gung Ho Wrestling, as he took Necro Butcher & Corporal Robinson to the limit. A great addition to any locker room, as Mack is well adjusted to different styles and not as one-dimensional as he may have been in his Da Hit Squad days.

70. Nick Gage- a true CZW icon, Gage has won CZW's TOD. Has been part of almost every CZW show and holds the record for most CZW appearances. Injuries limited him towards the end of the grading period. Perhaps one of CZW's most loved guys behind the scenes and in the ring.

71. Xavier- the former ROH World Champion returned to ROH for a few shots during the grading period. Injuries haven't been too kind to Xavier, as he's been on the injured list a few times too often. Held the WSU Heavyweight Title for a year. Thrives in big match environments. Has recently changed his style that can be likened to a shoot fighter.

72. Crowbar/Devon Storm- the former WCW star still competes in his home state of NJ. Has wrestled mostly for NWA affiliated promotions. Has a successful physical therapist business which has cut down the amount of wrestling bookings he takes. Also competes for ECPW.

73. The Messiah- the former CZW Heavyweight champion left CZW this year for PWU. Feuded with Adam Flash. Comfortable in main event roles.

74. Spike Dudley- also goes by the name of "Brother Runt" in TNA. After leaving the WWE, Spike has spent alot of time in the New England area, where he makes his home. Has competed for NWS. Also has wrestled for NYWC. A very charismatic wrestler who has defied the odds time and time again.

75. Danny Demanto- long time indy journeyman has improved leaps and bounds. While most famously known for his SSCW ladder match, Danny has moved past that, and has become a JAPW regular. Has thrived in big time matches against Axl Rotten, New Jack, Kamala & other legends. Competed all over for WSU, JAPW, NWS, AWA, DWI, ABC, CZW, PWU, PWP, WCPW & for other promotions.

76. Oman Tortuga- 1/2 of the successful OutCast Killaz tag team. Has held JAPW tag team gold. Wrestled for NEW, PWU and for other promotions. Feuded with the SAT.

77. Diablo Santiago- the other member of The Outcast Killaz. Former JAPW Tag Team Champion. Held his own in a four way in JAPW with Eddie Kingston, Samoa Joe & B-Boy. Had a back and forth battle with the SAT's over the JAPW tag belts.

78. Samu- former WWF Tag Team Champion is currently on top of the WXW mountain as WXW Heavyweight Champion. Still one of the hardest hitting guys today. Briefly wrestled in NYWC.

79. Sexxxy Eddy- wrestled for CZW & JAPW, but this IWS stand-out hasn't done much of late in the northeast. Still a very entertaining wrestler.

80. Patriot/Tom Brandi/Sal Sincere- probably has more matches a year than 90% of the guys on this list, due to being an NWS regular. Picked up the AWA Tag Titles with Buff Bagwell. Had a heated feud with King Do I Stink & Royce Profit's band of misfits. Perhaps one of the smartest businessmen on the indies today. Away from NWS, has worked for FWF, ACPW & for other indy promotions.

81. Slyck Wagner Brown- The Underground King rebounded after going through personal problems. Returned to JAPW. Wrestled for ABC PW, NWS, 2CW, DPW, SCW, Shockwave & for other promotions. Known for naming alot of moves after himself. A heavyweight who can wrestle like a light heavyweight when needed to.

82. Tracey Smothers- perhaps the toughest guy in all of professional wrestling today. Tracey works all over the indy scene, wrestling mostly in the mid-west, but making stops in the northeast. Most famously known for his FBI days in ECW. Possesses a rough southpaw fist.

83. Toby Klein- mostly a CZW regular, Klein is currently the CZW Ironman champion. One half of TCB. Known for his hardcore ability.

84. Quiet Storm- in and out of America, Storm has made several Japanese stops throughout his career. Wrestled up and down the east coast, with NYWC being his current home promotion. Mostly known for the Storm Cradle Driver.

85. Adam Pearce- the ROH regular has also competed in the NWA, and is currently in the hunt for the NWA World Title. Has great size and isn't your normal indy wrestler. Has old school heel ability.

86. Jimmy Jacobs- mostly wrestled for ROH during the time period, Jacobs was also part of WSX, which aired on MTV. Recently in the middle of a love story with Lacey for ROH. Is widely known for his "Huss".

87. Cheech- teams primarily with Cloudy. Has wrestled all over the northeast. Is probably known the most for his work in CZW. One of Devito's students.

88. Cloudy- the smaller member of the Cheech/Cloudy tag team. Wrestles for CZW and for smaller independent promotions. Cals NWA Upstate his home.

89. K-Murda- one half of All Money is Legal. Murda is the more outspoken one of the two. Has had alot of success in PWU, and has dabbled in and out of other northeast independent feds. Also raps.

90. K-Pusha- won PWU tag gold with his AMIL partner K-Murda. Has added alot of size during the year. WWE's CrymeTyme has ripped off his look. Despite bulking up, Pusha can still move as quick as a hiccup.

91. Bandido Jr.- a second generation indy wrestler, Bandido may gain more recoginition than his father when it's all said and done. Starting to rise up the ranks in JAPW as a member of "La Familia". Starting to show more confidence in the ring, just ask Joey Janella. Hasn't really had a ball to run with yet, but it should be coming soon.

92. Chuck Taylor- the IWA Mid-South Champion made several appearances in the northeast this year. Had several good matches with Low Ki this year. Wrestled for JAPW.

93. Ricochet- mostly known for his work in other territories, Ricochet is known for his incredible high flying offense. Competed in JAPW.

94. Brandon Thomaselli- a titlist in IWA Mid South, Brandon branched out to the northeast this year, debuting in PWU & CZW. Got his northeast start in Pro Wrestling Elite.

95. Vito Thomaselli- one half of the Iron Saints. Competed in PWU, CZW & WSU. Known largely for their work in IWA Mid South.

96. Sal Thomaselli- the other member of the Iron Saints. Had several good matches against the SAT's in WSU. Starting to become a favorite in the Philly scene.

97. Beef Wellington- the master of the ass punch, is known for his work in IWS but also has a cult following in the northeast. Wrestled in and out of JAPW & CZW during the calendar year.

98. Buff-E- 1/2 of the Christopher Street Connection, and is the more verbose of the two. Wrestled for JAPW, WSU, UXW and for other promotions. You'll never see a bored crowd when Buff-E is in the ring.

99. Mace Mendoza- currently 1/2 of the UXW Tag Team Champions with his life-partner Buff-E. Still entertaining crowds all these years, the CSC has lasted the test of time on the indy scene. Feuded with the DRS.

100. Drew Blood- the sometimes forgotten 1/2 of Notorious Inc, Drew isn't someone to sleep on. While his partner Devon is known for his high flying abilities, Drew is no slouch either. Drew is also the better talker of the two as well. A long-time indy wrestler with tons of experience. Competed for WXW, PWU, WSU, NWS & for other promotions.
