Fifth Annual DOI 250

Profiles 101-150

101. Antonio Thomas- one half of the Heartthrobs/Heartbreakers. Works mostly in the New England area for places like DPW, 2CW, etc. Wrestled for NWS & ABC as well. Lots of charisma and has a good look. Appeared in TNA.

102. Damian Adams- IWF graduate, now competes in the Ohio Valley area. Still wrestles the occassional northeast indy, such as for NWS. Throws some of the realest punches you'll ever see on the indy scene. A well rounded wrestler.

103. Afa Jr.- was signed to a WWE developmental contract during the grading period. A former WXW Heavyweight Champion, but also competed for DPW. Great size and background. By deciding to go full force in his wrestling career and leaving his football career aside, the sky's the limit.

104. Jason Blade- mostly wrestles in the New England area, Blade has made several stops in the northeast area. Known for his speed and overall athleticism.

105. Brian Fury- mostly a New England wrestler, Fury has made a great impression in DPW. Has good size and ability. Needs work in the promo department.

106. Damien Wayne- wrestles mainly in Virgina, Wayne came up to the northeast for NWA Pro Wrestling. A wrestler who can blend many different styles and has a great look. Gives & takes some sick moves.

107. Mike Tobin- long time USA Pro wrestler has found a new home in the ECWA, where he was Mid-Atlantic Champion. Has wrestled all over the northeast indy scene. Was doing Macho Man impersonations before TNA discovered Jay Lethal. A good wrestler for any type of indy show today.

108. Petey Williams- biggest criticism is that he's known only for one move, which is the Canadian Destroyer, which is an offshoot of Red's & Deranged's flipping powerbomb. Lost some of his northeast bookings when Cyberspace went under. Very athletic.

109. Rob Eckos- one half of the longest reigning ECWA tag team champions in history, as part of the Valedictorians. Rob still regularly competes on the northeast for mostly family promotions. Went to the finals of this years NWS tag team J-Cup.

110. Romeo Roselli- part of the Heartbreakers/Heartthrobs tag team with Antonio Thomas. Competes all over the indy scene since being released from his WWE contract. Also has made several television appearances during the year, using his wrestling fame to get gigs.

111. Kevin Matthews- returned to the northeast indy scene after being released by the WWE in late 2006. Came back bigger, stronger and better. Wrestled for JAPW, WSU, NWS, GHW, WUW, VPW, JSW & for other promotions. Feuded with Reefer. Known as the wrestler who pissed on an SSCW title belt. Recently tore his knee and out on the disabled list. Has good promo skills.

112. Mack Daddy Flexxx- product of the Johnny Rodz WUW school. Long time WUW veteran, Flexxx started making his move on the indy scene in July 2006. Wrestled for ABC PW, VPW, WSU, NWA Pro, NWS & for other promotions. Great look and ability. Is comfortable in either a face or heel role.

113. Corvis Fear- originally from the JAPW school in Bayonne, Corvis launched his own DWI promotion this year. Stuck in the undercard of JAPW. Won the NWS Tag Team J-Cup with Nicky Oceans. Wrestled all over the place for JSW, AWA, WSU, ABC; among other places, one place being criticized by some of his peers. Willing to put his body on the line at all times. As this list went to press, announced he was going on a sabbatical.

114. Bison Bravado- the former WXW Heavyweight champion slowed up a bit in this grading period. Wrestled for UXW, WSU, ABC, NWS, VPW, NWA Pro, GHW & for other promotions. Feuded off and on with Monsta Mack. A very strong and convincing heel. Needs to work on his physique to get to a higher level. A former Hogan Knows Best guest star.

115. Fred Sampson- product of Kevin Knight's IWF. Fred recently turned heel in ECWA after holding the Heavyweight title. Now goes by the name of Frederick of Hollywood in ECWA. Is a major force in NWA Pro. His charisma has picked up alot during this grading period. Has a solid build.

116. Joe So Delicious- like Mack Daddy Flexxx, a product of Johnny Rodz's school. Wrestled for ABC, WXW, PWH, NWS, NWA Pro, VPW, WUW, UCCW & for other promotions. Compared often to Kevin Matthews, but without Kevin's controversial past. Great heel and possesses solid promo skills. Known for his taped fist matches. Recently main evented VPW against one of his trainers in Flexxx.

117. Jorge Santi- another Johnny Rodz graduate on this list. Jorge has the potential to be one of the next top cruiserweights on the indy scene. Often feuds with Minyon, just like the old Deranged/Red days. Wrestled for NWS, WUW, PWH & for other promotions. Has a good feel for the ring and is a solid babyface. More people will be talking about him soon.

118. Scotty Charisma- a former ECWA Heavyweight champion, the longtime indy veteran continues to work his trade over the east coast. Made several WWE appearances throughout the year. Mostly wrestles on family shows.

119. Danny Doring- former ECW Tag champion was brought back to the new ECW, only to get released quickly thereafter. Wrestled for NWS & MCW. Still known for his solid promos and in-ring ability. Amazing the WWE never paired him up with Roadkill.

120. Minyon- product of Johnny Rodz. Wrestled for WUW, PWH, NWS & for other promotions. Can go heel or face. A very fluid wrestler. Should be more known by this time next year. A solid cruiserweight.

121. Tony Devito- on again/off again member of the Carnage Crew with HC Loc. Spends most of his times in Upstate, NY & in Connecticut, working for NEW, NWA Upstate, DPW & for other promotions. One of the most credible wrestlers out there and a throwback to the days where wrestlers had to be able to defend themselves and not rely on flipping 34834 times in 2 seconds.

122. Supreme Lee Great- after a brief spat with his home fed of WXW, SLG returned and picked up where he left off, teaming with TDS. Together, they are TDSLG. A major force in the WXW tag division. Never really got regular indy work outside of WXW.

123. Gavin Quest- Gavin's career picked up during this grading period, wrestling for NWS, DWI, JAPW, AWA, ECPW, WSU & for other indy promotions. A solid wrestler who is coming into his own. Recently was injured.

124. The Blue Meanie- Da Blue Guy is still a major fixture in the Philly scene. Wrestles for PWU, ACPW, PWP and for other promotions. Still gets outside of the northeast bookings, such as for CAPW. One of the most charismatic wrestlers around.

125. Havok- got the biggest singles win of his career, becoming the NWA Shockwave Champion. However, the company was already dead by the time he won it. Still a force in the NWA. Wrestled for NWS, PWH, NYWC & for other indy promotions. A true big man who has never reached his high potential. Former student of the doghouse and WXW.

126. Jigsaw- won the CZW Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Quit CZW after being lied to by management. Wrestled for Chikara this year and debuted in ROH.

127. Papadon- had the greatest singles stretch of his career during the grading period. Won the NWA Shockwave Heavyweight & Internet Championships, and will go down as the last champion ever. Picked up the NYWC Interstate title. Also wrestled for NHPW, VPW, NWA Pro & other indy promotions. Has improved his look but still looking for his identity.

128. Reckless Youth/Tom Carter- a mainstay of the NWA. Doesn't wrestle as much as he used to. A pioneer of the indy wrestler who gets flied to wrestle out of his territory. His contributions to indy wrestling should never be forgotten, even if he's not the same wrestler he used to be.

129. Nicky Oceans- an NWS mainstay, Nicky started getting work in other promotions as well this year. Turned his back on Billy Reil at an NWS show and made all the little kids cry. Participated in this year's J-Cup, and went on to win the NWS Tag J-Cup with Corvis Fear. Good prescence.

130. Dennis Gregory- a huge mainstay in IWC, Gregory is the current IWC Heavyweight Champion. Has been wrestling for 10 years and is the only 3 time IWC Heavyweight champion in IWC history.

131. Pitbull Gary Wolfe- a PWU & PWP mainstay, The Pitbull Gary Wolfe is still doing his thing. Doesn't work much else outside of Philly.

132. Brain Damage- kicking ass and beating peoples brains in CZW. A current CZW titlist, holding the Ultraviolent Underground championship.

133. X-Pac- now working in AAA in Mexico, X-Pac made some stops in the northeast this year, working for NWA Pro & UXW. Still can go. Known for the X-Factor.

134. Billy Gunn/Kip James- Part of VKM on TNA, Billy Gunn wrestles in the northeast more than any other indy area. Gets good crowd reactions time in and time out. Known for the fameasser.

135. Javi-Air- not known for his promo ability, as Javi-Air is a pure spot machine & high flyer. Has wrestled for JAPW, CZW, NYWC, WSU, VPW & for other indy feds. Still improving his in-ring work.

136. DJ Hyde- a CZW regular, DJ Hyde has definitely taken some bumps and bruises this year. Also wrestles in Maryland and Delaware.

137. Teddy Fine- this grading period was a good time for Mr. Fine. Wrestled for PWU, PWP, WCPW & for other promotions. Has gotten comfortable working in front of new crowds.

138. Adam Flash- the former CZW star is currently in PWU. Also wrestled for MCW and other Maryland & Delaware promotions. Feuded with Messiah.

139. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart- like other legends on this list, spends alot of time in the northeast. Has helped out many indy guys in various indy locker rooms. Still looks like he could be on TV anyday, as he still looks the same. A brute force, Anvil uses the camel clutch now as a finisher.

140. Kamala- the Ugandan Giant was all over the northeast this year. Biggest moment of the grading period was challenging American Dragon for the ROH title at an NWA show in Connecticut. Competed for WSU, NWS and for other indy promotions during the year. Still slaps the belly like a champ.

141. Tito Santana- the master of the flying burrito, Tito Santana stays spry, working on the indy scene. Competed for ABC, NWS, DWF & for other local indy promotions. He still can go and has helped alot of indy wrestlers with their craft.

142. The Honky Tonk Man- the greatest IC champion of all time is still shakin', rattlin' and rollin' all over the indy scene. Works primarily for NWS but has wrestled in other places such as PWP. To a new generation, is known for his shoot interviews and not for his IC title reign.

143. Demolition Ax- still competes regularly all over the indies. Doesn't do the Masked Superstar gimmick as much as he used to. Recently re-united with Smash/Barry Darsow.

144. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake- a spot on Hogan Knows Best and a spot on NWS shows, what more could Beefcake ask for? Still popping a new generation of fans with his scissors and sleeper holds.

145. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine- another legend who works for various indy groups all over. Still looks the same as he did 20 years ago. Picking up victories like it's 1979 with the figure four leglock.

146. King Kong Bundy- the Master of the 5 count is now a monster babyface for young kids. Lost weight over the years, but still impressive in stature. Has worked for WPW and NWS this year.

147. Sterling James Keenan- Wrestled for PWP, IWC and for Gung Ho during the year. Has a good look and working on his skills to back it up. Known primarily for his work in Norm Connor's IWC.

148. Aden Chambers- the current ECWA Heavyweight Champion, Aden climbed a rough hill to reach his success in ECWA. Flipped off a 20 foot stage at ECWA, wiping out multiple wrestlers. A huge fan favorite.

149. Madden Fisher/Jerk Jackson/Bobby Fish- Fish had a good year, with one of his career goals being met, as he got to wrestle in Japan. Still looking to become an everyday wrestler, Fish found success in NWA Shockwave and NWA Upstate. A great hand. Needs to work on promo ability to make himself stand out more in this pack of heap known as indy wrestling.

150. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka- Perhaps one of the biggest babyfaces to never win the WWF Heavyweight Championship, Snuka has filled that void with plenty of NWS main event victories. Also wrestled for his family in WXW. Now leaping off the 2nd rope due to health issues.
