201. The Patriot/Salvatore Sincere/Tom Brandi- the long time veteran has used a bunch of gimmicks for the NWS this year. Also competes sparingly in other promotions as well. A great hit in front of younger crowds. Brandi has what 99% of indy wrestlers need to get to the next level- a 6'4" muscled up frame.
202. Bandido Jr.- after working mostly for his father's UWA last year, Bandido Jr. finally earned himself a spot in JAPW as a member of La Familia. Also competed in NWA Cyberspace & for the AWA. Mostly wrestles cruiserweights. Hasn't been giving a chance to talk on the mic yet, so it should be interesting to hear what he says when he finally talks.
203. Nicky Oceans- works mainly for the NWS. Getting better with time. Working exclusively for the NWS is like getting two years experience in one year, since NWS runs so many shows. Still green at times but is always improving.
204. Devious- perhaps his biggest moment of the year occurred in ABC Wrestling where he debuted his new monster gimmick. It's a gimmick that could recharge Devious's career. The former basketball standout needs to be more aggressive as there are alot of promotions he could be helping. With more activity/ring time, Devious should be ranked much higher next year.
205. Adam Flash- wrestles mainly for CZW, but works elsewhere from time to time. Needs to improve his in-ring skills to move up next year.
206. Mozart Fontaine- still plying his craft for Jim Kettner's ECWA. A "classical" heel, but can wrestle as a face too. Like others on this list, needs to get out and wrestle in different places to be considered for a higher spot next year.
207. Derek Frazier- a CZW regular, who has been part of many big matches for CZW this year. Needs to add size to go anywhere important in wrestling. Has built up a steady fanbase.
208. Harry Acropolis- the former NWS champion also wrestles as Saddam Insane. Definitely uses his strengths and hides his weaknessess in his matches. One hell of a character. Good natured guy who could get alot more comedy bookings if he desired.
209. Mega- still competing for NYWC and for ECWA. Mega hasn't done much from last year to be really pushed higher on this list. Has good ability for a big man, and when used right, can be an integral player, as he was for ECWA in 2003.
210. Fred Sampson- excellent look, but might've done more WWE job/security spots in his career than he's had indy matches. A product of the IWF. Could definitely be a major asset to an indy promotion.
211. Dan Barry- alot of the indy promotions Barry worked for closed last year, and Barry was only a regular in NYWC this year. Hasn't done much to stay fresh during this DOI 250 calendar year. Still very talented and entertaining, and still looking for the opportunity to showcase his ability in front of a larger audience.
212. Mike Mayhem- was in and out of the indy scene all year. A former NYWC trainer, Mayhem left the NYWC for brighter aspirations, but as of press time, hasn't done much. Recently wrestled for VPW.
213. Shane Taylor- "Mr. Motion" is an NWS regular. Has a solid look and does good in front of the NWS crowds. Needs to branch out more to be ranked higher next year.
214. Brutus The Barber Beefcake- Brother Bruti is still doing his thing and giving haircuts to unlucky victims in the NWS. Thankfully, he doesn't wear the ripped tights anymore. Gives most indy promoters at least 10 minutes ring time, which is great for someone of his caliber and name recognition.
215. The Honky Tonk Man- known more for his mouth than ability, The Honky Tonk Man continues to shake, rattle and roll in shitty little wrestling rings in New Jersey. Easily one of the funniest guys to listen to. HTM still draws to this day, and is a semi-regular in NWS.
216. Rob Vegas- the former AWA Heavyweight champion also picked up AWA tag gold during the DOI 250 calendar year. Real life responsibilities has hindered his career from progressing. Has added size to his frame. Sometimes looks uncomfortable in front of a microphone.
217. Romeo Roselli- the former Heartthrob worked a handful of indy shows as the grading period ended. Also known as Johnny Heartbreaker, Romeo might be the better wrestler out of the two Heartthrobs.
218. Antonio Thomas- after being released from the WWE, Thomas wasted no time and went straight back to work on the indy scene. Seems to be comfortable in singles matches, after all this time wrestling as a tag wrestler.
219. Aramis- one of PWU's better students. Will need to wrestle in other places to move up next year. Slowly developing and needs to learn that sometimes less is more. Recently aligned himself with New Jack in PWU.
220. KJ Hellfire- seems to exclusively only wrestle Aramis in PWU. The two have had a good feud in PWU. Like Aramis, he's slowly developing and picking up new skills every day.
221. Jay Santana- works mostly in ECPW. A true student of the business. Still doing the Tito's nephew gimmick on some shows. It might be time for other wrestlers to be setting up the ring for him.
222. Teddy Fine- wrestled for PWU & for BWO. Getting better with more ring time. He's on the right path to climb higher next year on this list.
223. Jason Static- works all over the indy scene. Did several spots for the WWE. Might need a name change, because after all, what's a Jason Static anyway?
224. Dan De Man- a competent indy wrestler who spent most of his time in ECPW. Very talented on the mic. Still needs exposure to get to the next level.
225. Greg The Hammer Valentine- still doing his thing after all these years. Works all over the indy scene, including for the NWS and WXW. Doesn't look he has aged a year since the 80's.
226. Brian Myers- the former DOI scribe is now a WWE employee. Won the NYWC & PWF NJ Tag titles, but obviously there is a bigger prize to shoot for now.
227. Brett Matthewz- signed a WWE contract in the early months of 2006. Wasn't really made for the indies, but has a great look for Titansports. Held the NYWC & PWF NJ Tag titles.
229. Maison Raige- the former NYWC champion could be NYWC's next Livewire, as he signed a WWE contract as the DOI 250 calendar came to an end. Has a freakish Barry Bondsesque look. Hopefully next year he'll be the next Kane, rather than the next Tyson Tomko.
230. CJ Otis- currently training under the tutelege of Sabu. Worked for PW Elite and UXW. Has a good look but still green.
231. Josh Ambercombie- only worked once in the northeast, hence his low ranking. Would be ranked much higher if he worked more often in the northeast. A regular for IWA MS.
232. TNT- "Why TNT Why?", was a question that loyal NWS fans were asking this year when TNT turned his back on the fans. Long time indy veteran with plenty of size. Still wrestling for the fun of the sport as his chance of being a WWE superstar passed him several years ago.
233. Joe Hardway- still being called a John Walters clone. Hasn't done much to make a name for himself yet. Needs to find a gimmick to get away from some of his vanillaness. Competed for ECPW & AWA.
234. Pyscho- competed in the AWA and NWS. Perhaps the better of the two ESK. Took some time off to find himself as the DOI 250 calendar came to a close.
235. Rayza- one half of the Elm Street Kids. Had moderate success in the AWA. Another wrestler who needs to decide if he is going to take wrestling serious or if it's a weekend hobby.
236. Papadon- had a tough year as it's a promoters market right now. Needs a huge gimmick and attitude overhaul. Worked for NYWC & Cyberspace but not on a full-time basis. Needs to take a deep look in a mirror and decide if he really wants it. If not, it might be time to quit.
237. Keenan Quinn- one of the biggest gimmicks in indy wrestling. Still the master of the leg lariat. Cut his hair to ref some WWE dark matches. Improved his look. Might need a name change to get away from some of the ribbing he gets from fans and his peers. Perhaps Keenan Reyes would suit him well?
238. Danny Angus- with Billy Angus, won a bunch of indy tag titles. Still a bit new to the business, but has a good look. With a strong drive, he'll probably be ranked higher in next year's 250.
239. Billy Angus- won tag gold in a bunch of smaller indy promotions. Has a good look. Once he gets more experience, it wouldn't be a surprise if he was wrestling for bigger indy promotions.
240. Dickie Rodz- won the NYWC championship, but outside of NYWC, did little elsewhere. Changed up his gimmick for the better and got new tights to boot. Added alot of muscle to his frame. With a bunch of other NYWC students receiving WWE contracts, Dickie knows what "diet" it takes to get there.
241. Donnie Bon Jovi- competed infrequently to make a serious run on this list. Still has a gimmick that can get fans into or against him. Recently opened up a wrestling school in Long Island.
242. Ashe Samuels- the master of the "Lees Knees" is still doing his thing. Mostly used in lackey roles. Has trained under numerous wrestlers but is still looking to make a name for himself.
243. Ken Scampi- hasn't done much this year to make a name for himself. Sticks to his home fed of NYWC but doesn't do much elsewhere. Has a better look than most cruiserweights but isn't using it to his advantage.
244. Pinkie Sanchez- still looking to recapture the magic he had in 2004, when he was the face of the AWA. Needs to add size to be taken seriously. Able to get over with a small niche of regular fans at the AWA, and needs to translate that to other promotions.
245. Jimmy Hustler- an indy journeyman who wrestles out of love for the business. Brought back his ABC Wrestling and unlike other promoters, wasn't all over the show nor beat any of his fellow wrestlers. Understands what works and doesn't in wrestling. Better as a heel than a face due to his grimey look.
246. Damian Dragon- still doing his thing after all these years. Hasn't changed up his gothic gimmick and competes on smaller indy shows. A good hand, but at this stage in his career, he's better off used to put over up-and-coming indy cruiserweights.
247. Little Greatness- possesses alot of natural ability coupled in with raw high-flying moves. Needs to be trained by another cruiserweight to understand that you don't need to do 1000 highspots a match. Shows alot of potential.
248. Candy- became one of UXW's funniest comedy wrestlers, doing parodies of The Blue Meanie, Billy Firehawk, Hulk Hogan and others. Took what little skill he has and made the most of it. Still needs to train to be taken seriously by fans and his peers alike.
249. H. Fujinami- last year's 250 moves up a spot this year to 249. The master of the "yes, yes, yes, no, no, no" worked only a handful of shows for the UWA. Despite his age, he is still able to control a crowd with his hilarious antics.
250. KC Blade- only wrestled in the beginning of the DOI 250 calendar. Needs to get his act together and decide if he's serious or not about wrestling. The big question heading into the next DOI 250 calendar year is if he will trade cheesesteaks and milkshakes for wristlocks and headlocks. If he does, expect him to be in the top 100. If not, this may be the last time we see KC Blade in the DOI 250. When KC Blade is motivated, he's one of the most entertaining guys on the indy scene today.
