151. Rob Eckos- competed for NYWC, ECWA and for NWS, among other promotions. Was used as a WWE extra several times, and even pretended to be Ric Flair on WWE TV. Solid look. A very economical wrestler.
152. Cheech- had one of the better years in his career, wrestling for PWU, NWA Upstate, CZW, AWA and for other promotions. Still teams with Cloudy from time to time. Starting to get a fanbase in CZW. Needs to add size.
153. Chris Hamrick- probably one of the most underrated guys on the scene today. Hamrick didn't wrestle as much as previous years and wrestled more outside of the northeast than in it. Constantly having good matches.
154. Afa Jr.- works mainly for his home fed of WXW but has wrestled for other promotions as well. A former WXW World Champion. Afa Jr. has wrestling on a silver platter but needs to decide if he's hungry enough to finish his plate clean.
155. CW Anderson- CW would've definitely ranked higher if he was northeast based. Wrestled for World-1 and for PW Elite this year. Recently signed to the new ECW. Still part of the (defunct) Extreme Horsemen.
156. 2 Cold Scorpio- had brief and scattered appearances in the northeast. When motivated he can have some great matches. Lives overseas. Would be great for the new ECW if they just let Scorpio be himself.
157. Javi-Air- piggybacked his way onto alot of shows this year, and gained alot of experience. Sometimes rushes his moves, but has improved as time has gone on. Influenced by the SAT's and it shows in the ring. Worked for JAPW, NYWC, AWA, PWU and for other promotions during the year.
158. Justin Credible- still toiling away on the indy scene. Capable of having great matches when he wants to. Could rejoin ECW, which would probably light a fire within him again.
159. Cloudy- still taking wicked moves. Worked for CZW, AwA, PWU, NWA Upstate and for other promotions. Formerly of Special K in ROH.
160. Billy Bax- a mainstay in ECWA, where he was one of the longest reigning tag champions of all time with Rob Eckos. Debuted in NYWC. The Valedictorians is a good gimmick for a tag team, but needs to do more when he wrestles in singles matches.
161. Danny Doring- recently signed with ECW, Doring also competed for NWS, among other indy promotions during the year. Still has one of the coolest looking finishers in wrestling. Should be interesting to see how he does in the new ECW.
162. Sterling James Keenan- a mainstay in IWC. Worked for 3PW before it went defunct. Now does some shows for 1PW. Has a solid look. Needs more work in the northeast area to be considered for a higher spot on this list.
163. Andrew Ryker- one of Jim Kettner's latest standout's, Andrew Ryker actually pinned Low Ki in only his 8th match. Is an ECWA main stay, where he's finding moderate levels of success. Still looks very vanilla.
164. Mark Gore- one half of the Untouchables. Works all over the New England scene, but also competed for World-1 and WXW. Known for his huge missle dropkick. Another guy trying to carve a niche for himself.
165. J-Busta- an off year for J-Busta, as he didn't wrestle in the northeast as much as he'd like to. Still doing the Canadian Superstar gimmick. Dan "Spider" Quirk's death hit him hard. J-Busta is one indy wrestler who doesn't need wrestling, as he makes a good living as a physical therapist.
166. Plazma- perhaps the only guy in NYWC to work for non-NYWC affiliated promotions. Became an "Ouch File" after Monsta Mack tossed him like a sack of potatoes. Added a ton of size very quickly, which does raise eyebrows. Not as spotty as he used to be as he has matured. Still very young and talented. A trivia question in a few years might be who gave Plazma his first start? (Answer: Carmine Sabia)
167. Kris Krude- still showing off his "Herculean" mold at an indy show near you. Competed for WXW and FNW, among other indy promotions. Was gaining steam in 3PW before it shut down. Krude is very entertaining when you first see him, but his act can get old if you see him more than 20 times. Very good at working a crowd and at bashing rats.
168. Nick Gage- still doing his thing in CZW. Known for his hardcore style, which he prefers. Only really worked for CZW, hence his ranking this year.
169. Ricky Landell- Steve Corino's number 1 student. Wrestled all over the world, from Japan to UXW, PW Elite, World-1 (where he won the top belt) and for other indy promotions. Uses alot of Ric Flair mannerisms which could be a downfall if he wants to go to the WWE. A student of the business.
170. HC Loc- 1/2 of the Carnage Crew. In and out of ROH. Focusing more on his music career than his wrestling career which explains his lower than normal ranking. With ECW returning, the Carnage Crew would be a perfect addition.
171. Kamala- the Ugandan Giant is still belly slapping his way into our hearts in 2006. Worked for NWS, UXW and for a slew of other promotions. Even had a brief stint with RF Kimchee in his corner. Has become more vocal as the years have passed, but is always entertaining.
172. Kevin Sullivan- competed all over the indy scene, and was involved in a huge feud with Balls Mahoney in NWS. The Taskmaster doesn't look like he's aged a day since his WCW time.
173. Superfly Jimmy Snuka- getting older has caught up with Jimmy, as he's now opting to hit his Superfly Splash from the second rope, rather than the top rope. Snuka still is guaranteed a standing ovation before and after every match he has on the northeast scene.
174. Sugaa- competes exclusively for WXW. This multiple time WXW champion seems content to be a WXW homegrown star, as he probably could get bookings elsewhere. WXW runs often enough for him to warrant this ranking.
175. Ultimo Dragon- competed for PWU, NYWC, NWA Cyberspace and for other promotions. Coming off huge injuries, he's still better than most.
176. CIMA- like other Japanese talent, CIMA didn't make too many northeast appearances, but his limited ROH work earned him a spot in this year's DOI 250.
177. Naomichi Marufuji- wowed ROH crowds in the brief time he was here. Another guy who would probably be on the top of this list if he was a full time northeast indy/ROH wrestler.
178. Franky The Mobster- competed in CZW, but is mostly an IWS (Canada) regular. Often compared to Test. Hasn't done much in America to warrant a high ranking that he's capable of getting.
179. Dunn- currently wrestling off/on for ROH, Dunn also competes for NWA Upstate. Also did some work for Sal Hamaoui's FIP. Takes insane bumps.
180. Marcos- one half of the Ring Crew Express. Worked for NWA Upstate, ROH, and FIP, among other feds. Mostly known as a tag team wrestler. Still doing the same gimmick since 2003.
181. Mo Sextyn- worked for Cyberspace, ECPW, and AWA before moving down to OVW. Has appeared on RAW. Never seemed to anxious on a microphone, but built up a steady fanbase in NJ.
182. Madman Pondo- aside from his home turf away from the northeast, Pondo also paved his way into PWU. Still can kick ass with the best of them. Known only for his hardcore style.
183. Pitbull Gary Wolfe- the former 3PW Heavyweight Champion was in and out of the indies, competing for PWU and for Hardcore Homecoming. Usually is accompanied by Annihilation.
184. Gavin Quest- worked mainly for NWS but also worked in other indy promotions. Still looking to make a name for himself. Competed in this year's J-Cup, where he had maybe a career highlight against Deranged. Very underrated.
185. Vader- somehow this huge monstrous beast became a warm and loving babyface in UXW. Still a mountain of a man. Aside from UXW, wrestled for PPW and for other companies during the year. Still uses the Vaderbomb as a finisher.
186. Rikishi- worked for WXW, but became known for his great promoting skills in Italy, under the NU Wrestling banner. Would probably be on more local indy shows if he wasn't so successful in Italy.
187. Prince Nana- lost a ton of weight this year. The former ECWA Heavyweight Champion is now known more for his managerial skills rather than his wrestling skills. Still wrestles time-to-time, but looks like he's happier advising careers other than his own.
188. Matt Hyson (Spike Dudley)- after leaving the WWE, Spike competed for NYWC, NWS and other indy promotions. Won the NYWC Heavyweight title in a battle royal, as the DOI 250 calendar year closed. Looks like he has lost even more weight since leaving the WWE.
189. Crazy Ivan- still hating all people of all races. Ivan briefly teased a face turn, but nothing developed. A quality indy wrestler but hasn't done anything recently to get to the next level. Very dedicated to the business, as many can tell from the look he upkeeps to protect his gimmick.
190. Low Life Louie Ramos- competed mostly for UXW, where he's currently in a looooooooooong feud with Anthony Deblasi. Needs to end this feud and start beating some people of name value to be taken seriously as the "Hardcore King of NY." Suffered some embarrassing defeats this year and is capable of doing much better. One of the nicest guys in the wrestling business today barnone.
191. The Masked Maniac- the king of the hotdogs is known for his quick wit and for his infamous hotline. Had maybe the match of his life with Shark Boy against the CSC in UXW. For the first time in years, branched away from his UXW home promotion, as he teamed up with Auggie Balian in WSU. Not known for his ring skills, but can run his mouth with the best of them.
192. Slyck Wagner Brown- tough year for Slyck as his personal life was far more interesting than his wrestling career. Took time off after an incident with April Hunter. Still faces several charges after a domestic dispute. Recently returned to NWA Cyberspace, which has become his home fed, after putting up a hissy fit about his win/loss record in JAPW.
193. Rockin Rebel- like the Masked Maniac, known more for his mouth than his wrestling ability. Rebel can still get a crowd going with his promo skills. Known for the "Rebelizer". Had a tough beginning during the DOI 250 calendar year, but rebounded, opening up his BWO school. Also competes for WXW.
194. Johnny Kashmere- has spent more time promoting his PWU than wrestling this year. Luckily, Kashmere didn't no-show the DOI 250 this year, as he's gained a reputation for no-showing alot of indy shows. If he wrestled more, you can bet he would've been ranked higher. Obviously, his priorities and loyalties are with PWU, which sometimes gets misinterpreted by others as a bad thing. Has turned PWU into one of Philly's top indy companies.
195. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart- competed in the NWS but wrestles all over the country. Still looks the same, although he's added some weight around his stomach region. The beard is still over.
196. Chemical Hasheem Ali- currently the NWS Heavyweight Champion. Has had rocky points in his career, but always gets back up after falling down. Needs to be challenged more often.
197. Ron Killings- still taking indy bookings in the northeast, the former NWA Cyberspace Champion hasn't returned to the company like alot of other TNA talent. Still can get a crowd hot with his break dancing.
198. Johnny Candido- took some time off, but returned to the ring for PWU, NWS & UXW. Has wrestled alot of big names in his short career. Unfortunately for him, will always be compared to his brother, which are very huge shoes to fill. Under a ton of pressure to succeed which isn't always fair to him.
199. Slugger- the newly named Dameon Slugger competed in UXW, WXW, and ECPW, among other feds. Still uses the Bodybag as a finisher. Recently debuted in IWA Puerto Rico. The big man is finally starting to get somewhere.
200. Anthony Michaels- one half of the Untouchables. Seems to have had an off year, as he hasn't been all over the place like he's been in previous years. A fixture in the New England scene. Competed for WXW.
