The second installment in the Model Behavior DVD franchise rises above the first installment 100 times over.  Before I talk about specifics of the DVD, let me get the good and the bad parts out of the way first.

The Good:

Since this is my review, I should address why this DVD would appeal to me.  Most of the cast is pulled from my address book.  Foxxy, Lane, and Slim are good people and personal friends of mine and because of this I have that immediate interest.

Carrie Cooper is a person of many, many, many names and she is a friend of a friend and I have had the pleasure of meeting her once (officially, she attended many NYWC shows in the past in which we might have talked).

And of course last on my list (and most others) is Dana Dameson.  We all share that same weird attraction to Dana in some shape or form.  Going into this DVD she has that “Britney” thing going for her where you kind of want to see her make a fool of herself, or have a breakdown, or have that “wardrobe malfunction”.

The Bad:

Being an internet wrestling reviewer I have to question the “booking” of the DVD, like I could produce a better DVD (I couldn’t, legally).  I would have liked to seen the models removed from the DVD in favor of more indy girls.  Of course in the perfect world there are many other girls I would like to see included.  And in that same perfect world seeing some of that indy talent in the nude spreads would be ideal.

As far as I am concerned that is not really a bad point toward the DVD, just a personal desire, but the complexive nature of the audio tracks could be.  There are 3 audio tracks on the DVD.  The normal track with photo shoot sounds and background music, the commentary track, and the model’s commentary track.

The commentary track, I believe, is Ref Hanson, Foxy Foxxy, and Liz Savage (who doesn’t say much).  I am not one for picking out voices if I cannot see them talking so this clouds my judgment on this track option for sure.  Hanson hams it up acting giddy when girls get naked, or when people get in the way of the models.  Foxxy is just herself in the commentary and comes off very funny and personable, which is a side not many get a chance to see of her.

The third track sounds like the model talking about the shoot and what was going on in the shoot as well.  Payes also chimes in and is asked about the shoots and ideas behind them also.

My DVD player might have something to do with this but I had a hard time distinguishing which audio track I was on.  I finally got the order of it all down (and it has subtitles on the main track too I learned) but to watch this DVD the way it was intended you must watch all the segments 3 different times with all the tracks, something I was not about to do (Sorry Payes!).  So I opted to listed to the track with Hanson, Foxxy, & Savage during my review.

The artistic minded person would probably listen to the normal track.  The wrestling fan, person seeking a laugh would listen to the audio of Hanson & Foxxy.  And the person who is inspiring to be a photographer or model or learn about the trade would listen to the model commentary track.

This DVD pretty much is what you expect it to be, video of good looking girls while they are getting still photos taken of them.

Things to watch the DVD for:

Well besides watching my girls Foxxy, Lane, & Slim get all dolled up and looking pretty, you need to watch it in the commentary track with Hanson, Foxxy, & Liz Savage.  I cannot pick out Liz talking much, but Hanson and Foxxy do a tremendous job making things interesting and it plays like a combination of Mystery Science Theater 3000, MXC, Beavis & Butthead, and Whose Line is It Anyway at the same time.  There will be reference that fly over your head and references where you cannot believe what they said (especially since the person they said it about is going to hear it eventually).

For example the Dana segments are loaded with references about her, a few stories, and tales, most which the DOI readers will find funny.

Andy Christ did a shoot with Sienna Dancer and listening to the girls react to it on the commentary was funny.  It also appears that Laney & Slim might be on the audio track too which leads to my point about it being complex.  But to all their credit there isn’t a lot of people talking over other people, it is very orderly.

Other features of the DVD are an Extras section which has bloopers, and out takes.  There is also a model bio and gallery which auto plays like a slide show.

Fans of these girls, or anyone interested in models, modeling, photo shoots, or photography will definitely enjoy this DVD.  And yes with a company called stiff shots you probably assume you could get a lot of material for which to, well, get stiff too, and you probably could.  The professional models bare all (not just topless), and the other girls do the implied nudity thing as well as walk around in bras, and thongs.  There are no nipple slips as far as I know but you do get some side boob action at times.

All-in-all this DVD turned out to be much more entertaining than I thought it would be and was very well produced.  I do recommend it to someone who is looking for a change of pace from shoot interviews, and wrestling DVDs.
