Rebuttal To The Savior of The DOI
The only thing I'll agree with is that maybe a lot of space was wasted with the Vinny/ Eric nonsense. Truth is that maybe that is the only way these guys can get over is to indulge in name calling, veiled threats, whatever.
So now lookwhat it led to. I usually help out at the WSU shows, but do to my recent surgery couldn't make the last one. With all the shit flying around , it was inevitable that someone was going to get a beat down. Why it was done out in public is another thing. It might have been the heat of the moment, whatever. Danny didn't do himself any favors by punching the guy out in public.
Don't get me wrong, I like Danny's work and think he can go far in this business. But listen to an old school guy. If your gonna bust someone's ass, don't do it with people around. Take it outside. I don't know Vinny personally, maybe he instigated this , maybe he didn't. I wasn't there so I don't know.
The DOI has calmed down since last year. The message boards, which were pretty fuckin' insane at times, have also mellowed out. Yeah, there is a lot of wrestling that could be covered, but the Mic can't be at every show and I'm sure he would welcome any results that people send in.
One last thing, your going to compare The Mic to Billy Firehawk, Carmine whatever the fuck his last name is and other failed promoters? Where do you see that? Is he pissing away thousands of dollars on TNA talent and running in a huge building with 30 paid fans? No, he doing it the old school way. Slowly building a loyal fan base, treating the workers with respect, and giving them a place to work. The crowd at the last show was over 100 people and thats a packed house at The ECPW School.
So , in my estimation, WSU is doing just fine. They may out grow the building down the road, but that's what success is all about, you start small and grow, you don;t piss away a ton of money trying to impress smart marks like Firehawk did. Dude, you might think your the "savior" , but have the balls to put your name on your letter. Later, 42nd Street Pete
