1PW RELEASES MORE LINE-UP INFORMATION FOR MAY'S "KNOW YOUR ENEMY" WEEKEND
With just over two months to go before the events, 1PW is allowing us here at Newsline the chance to release the almost complete line-ups for both the Friday May 26th and Saturday May 27th events. Both shows take place at the Dome Leisure Complex in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The special attraction in May will be the 8-team, 2-night tournament to decide the first-ever 1PW World Tag Team champions.
Of the 8 teams entered, 6 have been announced. Newsline can now officially announce the other 2 teams as being the newly-formed duo of "Classic" COLT CABANA and "The Pukka One" DARREN BURRIDGE (who will be known collectively as the STREET HOOLIGAN ADVENTURE GANG) and the team of "The Phenomenal One" AJ STYLES and his partner, the current TNA X Division champion, "The Fallen Angel" CHRISTOPHER DANIELS.
Include those four men in the already announced field of AL SNOW and the BLUE MEANIE, HOMICIDE and RICKY REYES, JONNY STORM and JODY FLEISCH, CHRIS HAMRICK and TRACY SMOTHERS, AUSTIN ARIES and RODERICK STRONG and the reunited duo of LANCE STORM and PJ POLACO (the wrestler formerly known as JUSTIN CREDIBLE) and the importance of these inaugural tag titles becomes crystal clear.
Friday night's event will feature all 4 first round matches. Then, Saturday night, witness the crowning of the new 1PW Tag Team champions takes place as both matches of the semi-final round plus what is sure to be an incredible final round match take place.
In addition to the tag tournament, the new 1PW World Heavyweight title will be defended both nights when STERLING JAMES KEENAN brings his championship-weilding monster, ABYSS to Doncaster. First, on Friday night, 1PW officials have demanded a rematch one of the most brutal battles UK fans have ever seen, ABYSS goes one-on-one with the Hardcore Hun, ULF HERMAN. Last time these two met, Abyss was lucky to escape with the title and Ulf was lucky to escape with his life. What will happen this time when the two vicious giants meet in a "Falls Count Anywhere In Doncaster" match.
Then on Saturday, the champion (currently scheduled to be Abyss but may change depending on the outcome of Friday's title match) will face the challenge of the only man to ever hold the ECW, NWA and AWA World Heavyweight titles. He is the "King of Old School", STEVE CORINO.
When contractual obligations in Japan forced Corino to give up his spot in the World Title tournament earlier this month, 1PW officials promised him a shot at the title at a time of his choosing. Well the leader of OLD SCHOOL X decided not to wait. He's decided that his time is now. On Saturday May 27th, 1PW fans will see if the man can tame the Monster.
CHRISTIAN CAGE returns to the Dome with a pair of tough challenges. On Friday night, the NWA World champ faces off against a former NWA World champ, when he wrestles STEVE CORINO. Win, lose or draw on Friday night, CAGE must then step in the ring again on Saturday night to battle the brick wall of humanity known as SAMOA JOE. How can the leader of the Christian Coalition possibly make it out of the weekend on top? If you're one of CHRISTIAN'S "peeps", you'll want to be at the Dome to find out.
In other Friday night matches, everyone's favorite underdog SPUD looks for a measure of redemption from the ALL OR NOTHING weekend when he faces STERLING JAMES KEENAN. American sensation KEVIN STEEN debuts in 1PW against the brick wall of humanity known as SAMOA JOE. And in a very special challenge match, NOAH Global Honored Champions MOHAMMED YONE and TAKESHI MORISHIMA come to the UK all the way from Japan to defend their tag titles against the British duo of "The Anarchist" DOUG WILLIAMS and NIGEL McGUINESS. Plus, the debut of the HUMAN TORNADO,
Saturday night, fans can look forward to a Fatal 4-way tag match featuring the team eliminated in the first round of the tournament plus appearances by McGUINESS, WILLIAMS, TORNADO, SPUD, ULF HERMAN and much more.

1PW HOLDS CONTEST FOR EARLY TICKET BUYERS
Purchase tickets for either Friday or Saturday night’s events or for Saturday afternoon’s FIGHT CLUB showcase BEFORE APRIL 15TH and you’ll have a chance to have lunch with a pair of 1PW superstars. That’s right, fans… everyone who purchases their seats early (including everyone who has already purchased their tickets) will be entered into a drawing for a chance you and one friend to sit down for a meal and a conversation with two of the wrestlers who make 1PW so exciting.
The winners will be announced in early May with 3 winners (one per event) being named and meeting times being arranged for during the KYE weekend. Winners unable to meet their stars during the KYE weekend will forfeit their prize. Stars representing 1PW at each luncheon are subject to availability and will be chosen at the discretion of 1PW.
UPCOMING 1PW EVENTS
1PW has also released a short list of upcoming events to the public including the debut of 1PW in Hull. On Saturday July 1st, 1PW presents FIGHT CLUB 2 at the Doncaster School for the Deaf (Leger Way in Doncaster). Then on Saturday July 29th, 1PW makes its debut at the Gemtec Arena in Hull for DEVIL’S DUE. Tickets for all three shows go on sale. Tickets for both shows go on sale April 3rd though 1 Up Games. And don’t forget, 1PW debuts on TWC (THE WRESTLING CHANNEL UK) on Sunday night April 2nd with a 4 hour super-special. Prepare for Wrestlemania with a full night of the hottest action in the UK, 1PW!!! The tv special will include matches from the ALL OR NOTHING weekend such as SOUTHERN COMFORT vs THE STREET HOOLIGAN ADVENTURE GANG and AJ STYLES vs ABYSS in the deciding match of the 1PW World Title tournament. You’ll be able to see them on tv even before they are released on DVD. This all takes place on TWC, Sunday night April 2nd starting at 8pm.
