JAPANESE DECISIONS FORCE CHANGES TO ALL OR NOTHING MATCHES
The Japanese promotion HUSTLE, in preparation for their upcoming March tour, has informed 1PW that it will be retaining the services of MASATO TANAKA and STEVE CORINO forcing both men to cancel their scheduled appearances in Doncaster. For Mr. Corino, this is particularly bittersweet, as "The King Of Old School" had qualified for the 1PW World Title tournament.
Corino explains, "Hustle has a contract with ZERO-ONE in Japan allowing them to use any of Z1's contracted wrestlers on their shows. I was informed just a few days ago that both Tanaka and I were, in fact, going to be wrestling on Hustle's March tour. Tanaka and I have our issues but we've been able to agree upon one thing: not being in Doncaster for 1PW sucks."
Both men, Tanaka and Corino, have quickly become a big part of 1PW and officials are working behind the scenes to insure that they both return in the very near future.
This leaves 1PW with the problem of how best to fill Corino's spot in the tournament. After careful consideration, and some concilliatory movement on the part of Zero-One, 1PW Officials have chosen Japanese sensation TAKAO OMORI to become the 8th and final man in the
tournament. Omori, a 6'3" 245 pound bruiser with 13 years experience, held several major Japanese tag titles before winning and holding the AWA World title for 5 months to start 2005. The deal to bring Omori in for the tournament should be signed, sealed and delivered later today.

With only 4 weeks until the return of the UK's most electrifying new wrestling promotion to the Dome in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, 1PW Officials are today releasing the complete cards for both the Saturday March 4th and Sunday March 5th events.
As everyone knows, Saturday night's show will feature all seven matches of the World Title Tournament. From start to finish, fans attending Saturday night will see 8 men battle until only one stands tall as the first-ever 1PW World Champion.
In addition to the 7 matches scheduled for the tournament, fans can look forward to the 1PW debut of CHRISTIAN CAGE, as he faces RHINO. Cage has a 1PW title shot scheduled for Sunday night. What kind of shape will he be in after his encounter with the Man-Beast?
Meanwhile, the tag team scene continues to flourish in 1PW. Saturday night, four teams will engage in combat when JODY FLEISCH and JONNY STORM, SOUTHERN COMFORT, the ROTTWEILERS duo of HOMICIDE and RICKY REYES and the new team of SPUD and COLT CABANA hit the ring for 4-way tag team action.
Homicide seems to be playing games with 1PW heading in to the soon-to-be-confirmed tag title tournament. By bringing Ricky Reyes and not LOW-KI as his partner, Homicide has forced 1PW Officials to acknowledge that contracts signed to "The Rottweilers" could mean any combination of himself, Ki or Reyes. Homicide and Reyes take on fan favorites Storm and Fleisch on Sunday night.
The debuting Colt Cabana, on the other hand, is checking out different potential tag partners in hopes of finding the right person with whom he can take a shot at those tag belts. On Saturday he teams with "The Little Wrestler Who Could", Spud, for the Fatal 4-way. On Sunday, he
tags up with "The Pukka One" himself, DARREN BURRIDGE, to take on Southern Comfort.
Sunday night, of course, is headlined by the first-ever defense of the 1PW World Title. Whoever wins the belt on Saturday night will defend against Christian Cage. 1PW matchmakers have scheduled matches involving all 8 tournament participants with the knowledge that one of these matches must change once someone wins the title.
The previously announced MASATO TANAKA vs CHRISTOPHER DANIELS match has changed with Takao Omori now stepping in the face "The Fallen Angel".
Also previously announced were huge contests with AJ STYLES facing (2 COLD) SCORPIO and SAMOA JOE taking on RHINO. These matches remain unchanged.
Added to the line-up now is another battle of the behemoths as 6'8" ABYSS, lead to the ring by the despised STERLING JAMES KEENAN, squares off against 6'5" ULF HERMANN. Keenan will be in singles action as well, when he takes on the uncanny skills of JERRY LYNN. Also, Plus, cruiserweight action pits Spud against STEVIE LYNN.
